Why do I have to be responsible for someone elses healthcare ?...In this game of life I play by the rules, I work for what I want & don't ask anything of anyone...I think if others "want", they should have to work to "get"...We don't work so others can "have", we work hard so we can have more...Does that make sense to anyone other than me ?...I suppose that sounds selfish but, I do give back to my community in more ways than one.

I appear to be too tired to form an intelligent reply right now.

Maggot, I daresay none of us are comfy with this vote, this bill, or the vote on this bill...but you're really reaching with that post....I mean - seriously - that's a whole lot of "what if" action.

I don't like the idea of having to work for people who can work but don't and who milk the system. I feel like this may happen with the healthcare bill - but since I have no idea what the final bill will look like, I don't know.

I also think that a civilized society takes care of those who are the most vulnerable.

So..there has to be a balance...or checks & balances.

And what would be the cap for taking care of the most vulnerable ?...Huh ?...Just how much am I supposed to give before someone says that's enough ?...And seriously, why does there have to be balance ?...Why does the lazy slut in the ghetto deserve anything from me ?...Her choices got her where she is & mine got me where I am...I don't owe anyone, anything...Are you telling me that just because I have a little more than her that I should give her some of mine so that things are evened out ?...Fuck that.

A lazy ghetto slut is not among society's most vulnerable. Ignorant-as-fuck Becky Lee living in the trailer park fucking Bobby Joe, her 2nd cousin, is not among society's most vulnerable. Individuals like that are able to care for themselves.

I am not suggesting any "evening out". I got an education & positioned myself in life so me & my family could be in a good place. I don't like the idea that there are people who will attempt to get a free ride on my back. But I also understand that some of my hard work and the positioning I did also means that I have to give back to society (as you put it) so that society can actually exist & be civilized.

I educate myself on the issues which matter to me & mine, cast my vote in every election - state, local, & presidential - and then I know that once people are elected they are supposed to make good on their promises....but it doesn't always work out that way. Truth is - politicians are manipulators with the desire to "rule" other people. There's really no nice way to say it.
