Are they going to put this as a new amendment to the Bill of Rights? Because this is NOT in our Constitution nor our Bill of Rights. If this is indeed a new "right" this MUST go to a vote by the people. No?

Well I was wrong... one more vote today took place at 7 AM - they voted to take away the tax deductible for your mortgage interest.

And they voted to continue government spending for next month at the tune of a few billion dollars. Yeah, that's controlling yourselves guys!

Just so you know, I heard anyone with those Cadillac plans will be taxed at 40%. Lovely.

Well I watched it myself this morning on Cspan. Sorry, but they're hiding the bill and will let that whole transparency thing show again when they're good and ready.

You can go to the gov't websites and find the info too. IF they put it up there.

They were supposed to put the vote later tonight but they did it early this morning at 7 AM.

Yeah, that's the smooth talking site about what's in the bill. Right now the bill is once again in hiding and never has Obama or anyone explained the HOW this stuff is going to get done or the fine details like how they're going to get doctors to sign on.

I think the 5 and 10 amendment to the Constitution is what's in violation here among some others but I can't pinpoint stuff exactly. I'm on info overload on this. What they're doing is sneaking it in under the Consumer protection clause (or whatever its called) and then they're going on and on how we have a RIGHT to health care. Now if they keep harping on that, then this is and should be a new amendment to the BOR and we the people must vote on it.

But they won't due to the sweetheart bribes certain states got, like Nebraska and Louisiana.

There is also NO insurance reform in there. NONE. So that bullshit about can't be refused for preexisting conditions is just that - Bullshit. Why? Because they cannot force any insurance company that isn't in the fed plan to accept those terms! So you are STUCK purchasing the gov't insurance if you have a preexisting condition.

The list goes on but the most egregious is the FORCING of someone to pay the FED for a service or pay a fine and or jail.

Paying for something and being fined or jailed is by STATE not FED. There's a big difference. The state is supposed to 'check' the fed isn't it?

Julie, the fact that it's 2071 pages long (oh it's longer now I've heard) should be enough to make your head spin.

I'm not going to argue the merits of the bill if you're not even going to look through it. You can do keyword searches to get a glimpse but it's not an easy read and I can say I have not read it page for page but it's all in there. Knock yourself out.
