BTW, me too. I never get sick but I join the gawt-damn Mock forum and suddenly I'm cursed. 105

I played a MUDD for several years. It was the type where you can have an entire family, bloodline, etc. The person who played my 'mom', and who later ended up hitting on me quite seriously (which freaked me the hell out) turned out to actually be a guy. At least, that's what I'm told. I still don't know the truth for sure. I suspect 'she' also had multiple alts.

Honestly, I don't really care what gender she was in reality... as long as she stayed in fucking character when in game (like.. not trying to seduce her own daughter... ick).

I knew you'd know it was a MUD considering how we met Smiley_emoticons_razz

Though why you added a second D is beyond me. I guess I must have been rubbing off on you Smiley_emoticons_wink

On the MUD I did it on I played Ralgith/Saerith/Drakoth as myself (Dylan)
I played Mithan/Amyneddgar/Gwenlyder as Michael
And I played Katya/Yunitari/....And I'll be fucking dipped in shit cause I don't remember the 3rd character's name as Sarah.

So yeah. I played as a female college student for the 3rd set of characters (multi-play was allowed up to 3, but via proxies to hide my IP, 2 computers, and a LOT of mad keyboard skills I played 3 sets of 3... its a lot fucking harder than it sounds when you're fighting 3 battles on 3 different screens with 3 characters per screen... trying to keep track of who is doing what would drive most people insane)

Of course, you can just ask Ant how much of a multi-tasker I am. I drive her nuts carrying on as many as 3 conversations threads with her, all the while writing code, AND carrying on as many as 10 other conversations AND visiting 4 forums regularly. Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

Too bad that's my best skillset rofl.

I'm cynical when I read people posting about their wealth...People who have a great deal of money NEVER discuss it, it just isn't done...They don't want people to know about their finances, they prefer to fly under the radar...I suppose some that do it may actually be well to do but, I'd be very surprised.

I hate this as well, Frank has done his fair share of boasting about his wealth around here, I remember him posting a comment that went something like "my coin collection is worth more than your dumbass". And comments like "I could buy and sell your ass".

Only true 100% douchebags brag about their wealth online.

I never lie in life or online, I have no problem telling the truth, like I was once a mental health patient on welfare, that shit never ceases to impress people.

As for other people there are a handful of people I trust online, anyone else I take everything they say and claim with a large pinch of salt.

I don't think that was actually bragging about his wealth.

Duchess means something entirely different, more along the lines of what Moose used to boast (fantasize) about.

I wasn't "boasting about my wealth."

I can usually tell when someone is a bullshitter on the internet or in real life, I just go along with their stupid story and think to myself what a fucking asshole you are. They are the ones that you just met and they're already telling you their whole life story as if you really give a fuck anyway.

I do not really lie online...just do not reveal everything about myself to everyone. Some things are just not anyone's damn business.

Sometimes there is the little white lie though...like if someone were to say to me "QB, don't you think Frank is an asswipe?" I would probably agree...but actually I do not think he is an asswipe...at least not most of the time.105

No, I've just always known it to be spelled MUDD. I just looked it up and apparently the more common spelling is MUD, but here:

Yeah, I have a hard time keeping up with ONE character (especially now that I have a toddler to distract me). I've hardly been able to play in that environment for the last few years. It sucks that you can't put the thing on pause. =p

Except MUDD is only for online D&D, not all MUDs are D&D dear. MUD: Multi-User Dungeon or Multi-User Dimension depending on the game type. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Anyways, we're showing off our geekiness again.

Yes, we ARE showing off our geekiness, but I still can't help but add...

I know that not all MUDs are 'Dungeons & Dragons' per se, but most of them are, essentially, multi-sided dice based RPGs. It seems, at least, that they have taken their method of assigning stats, monster encounters, etc, from the original D&D template, which is why I never questioned 'why the extra D?'. You have to admit that 'Multi User Dungeon' certainly doesn't apply to all (or even most) of the stuff out there, and 'Multi User DIMENSION'?? Yes, I see that's what is claimed the D stands for, but wouldn't that really apply to pretty much the entire internet? It's just a lame adaptation of MUDD. Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

(so, Lumpy... NOW do you see what our conversations are mostly like? ::lol:: )

My biggest fault is trusting people way to much. I can say that I get whacked 20% of the time in my personal life, but in business I tend to never trust anyone and get called an asshole about once or twice a week. Fuck-em. Smiley_emoticons_fies

Its funny, because we met on another forum where Syber had requested a script to be written to accomplish a task on the MUD she played with just a few keystrokes instead of typing it all out by hand. I wrote that script. We kept talking. I wrote more scripts for her (for quite awhile this was one of my big hobbies since I love to program), and I liked writing her scripts because she actually has a brain and wanted GOOD stuff that was USEFUL and had PURPOSE and also she was able to DESCRIBE what she wanted. So we became friends, ended up finding out we share the same career, and then she led me here. All in the space of what? 6 weeks? 8? Smiley_emoticons_wink

Ok, so I'm a little crazy. So what?
