When I need something kind of pricey, and don't need it RIGHT THIS SECOND, I Ebay. I selected 'occasionally' instead of 'Ebay Maniac' because although I love Ebay, I try to stay away from it. The bastard sucks the money out of my bank account like a crack ho trying to make a buck.

I've had ONE problem through Ebay so far. I ordered a cheap UPS (battery backup for a computer) and when I got it, the damned thing was all broken up inside... pieces of plastic were in the box and you could hear it rattling around. The box was undamaged. The people were shits about it, but finally agreed to give me back my money AND pay for return shipping. Then they pitched a fit when I gave them a 'neutral' rating.

The worst was the hamster cage I bought that they said was in mint condition and it came to me with leftover bits of bedding, crusted with piss and chunks of hamster crap lodged in the cracks.

It did remind me of one more... slightly negative experience I had.

I purchased a carpet 'spot cleaner' (like a Green Machine) which said it was 'very lightly used' and the product picture showed one that looked like it was new.

The one I received was obviously used and the tank was all scungy and dirty... I cleaned it up and kept it though. Oh well.
