The only thing I really regretted in CA, was that we did not have an air conditioner. I was pretty dumbfounded about that one. Who doesn't have A/C in places where it gets THAT hot???

I was in the San Jose area and we usually had a couple of weeks each summer, where the temp would be 100+ degrees. In Oregon it got up to 107 for about 2 weeks straight. I was ABOUT TO DIE. I have never been so miserable in my life. No A/C there either. I would have KILLED for an A/C.

I've seen reports here between 8-18". That isn't nearly as much snow as we had during the last 'big' storm. A major consideration is supposed to be the ice we're getting today though. I've already seen the power brown-out a few times today. I'm hoping we don't lose it altogether. I have electric heat.
