I hate when I have a lot of time on my hands..then I think of stupid shit. Just curious..how many here still go out to the movies? Not to a friends house with a DVD and a 6 pack, but to a movie theater where you pay some ungodly amount for a ticket...and you need to take out a loan for snacks?
Last time we went was to see War of the Worlds in 2005. How about renting..from Blockbuster or Redbox? Do not remember the last time I did that.
We just get all the premium channels or download from PPV or on demand. Much easier, and more comfortable. Cheaper too.
I haven't been to the movies since the 80's. The most recent movie I watched was Blind Side & that's only because someone dropped it off & said , watch it, it's a great movie. It took me two days to do so. I find it hard to sit still & I have the attention span of a two yr. old.
the last time i was in a movie theater was when 'Titanic' came out, 1997. i HATE being trapped with a bunch of strangers and their microbes. i can't stay still either, and i smoke. i buy the DVD from amazon when something i want to see is available. there is no DVD rental near me, but i couldn't be arsed with that either anyway. buying movies is inexpensive enough, even compared to renting and having to go back and forth to the movie place which may or may not have what you want. then i pass on the ones i won't watch again. it's nice having a library of favorites/classics.
I might be the last person in the western world who has not seen Titanic.
the love story is nauseating. but the special effects of the ship and her sinking are well worth seeing.
then again, i'm a Titanic fanatic which is why i had to go to a fucking movie theater and could not wait for the DVD.
