I'm over that shit. I just want some reasonable fricken weather. The kind of weather where I can be outdoors and not feel miserable.

I feel like my summer was stolen
even tho it isn't my favorite season anymore
everything was about the fire that started on Jun 8^th
I went kayaking that day
Now 2 months later and we are finally out of the danger zone for the most part
I hope I get to enjoy some of the cooler temps

The storm last night was cool, saw some lightning. We'll see if there are any new fire starts. I am over it, all of it. So tired of the red flag warnings, the stupid weather alerts, flash flood alerts

And now some want us to go back to normal operations as if nothing happened. I can't just transition back that easily.
I'll take ESAD's advice and speak my mind where it matters.

It was stolen. You no sooner got into the Summer season than the wildfires started and your priority is to be aware of that all the time. There is no relaxing during fire season and it sucks ass. I see you go through this pretty much every year. I don't know how you remain so chill. I am anxiety ridden for you.

What is funny to me is that there will be a fire way way up in the wilderness and people will call or write or text asking if I am okay. Yes, yes I am safe, the fire is way way far away.
Now the fire was right in town, I had to evacuate and people are like, "You got this chicka!"

and then if I post about it again they are like, "OH, is there a fire going on?" Yes. Yes it is still the same fire that started 2 months ago.

Anyway we downgraded to a level 2 today and I am making plans on returning and hoping the job people give me more than 24 hours to get my ass back there.

I'm tired of wearing shorts and sandles. I started with pants and shoes yesterday and changed by noon.

After listening to the forecast last night I knew it was going to be a beautiful day so when I got up I ran around opening doors & windows and when I sat down again I realized it was much too chilly at 54 degrees to be doing that shit so I ran back through my home and did it all again in reverse. It's a bee-u-tee-ful East Coast day and I'm happy to have it.

It is! The heat of Summer was miserable. It's not a good time, especially so when there was work to be done outdoors. The air was so heavy, it felt suffocating.
