We had unprecedented rain, the normally dry rock lined stream dividing the property is running and the sound from 200' is wonderful!

In NE where we used to live it was "minus  1" last night!   So I'm still ahead of the game.

The kitchen flooded one day, the power went out another, then a fucking hurricane force wind came in and destroyed our awnings, then the gate lock was fubar. But I just saw the most incredible red shooting star.

Fuck snow. Don't know why I went out last night to the cigar shop to watch wrestling and smoke cigars. If I was smarter I probably should have stayed home. Thought I was going to skid into the car in front of me a few times.

It's very windy here and the snow is finally gone. I've never had snow that lasted as long as it did in January.

The last 2 weeks were depressingly cold, temps mostly in the 20's and no new snow. All the remaining snow was just hard ice and some of the roads and paths became slippery.

Then Thursday night we got 3 inches of snow and it snowed off and on all day Friday ending the day with 8.5 inches of snow. I am in heaven again loving the snow. My friend and I went snow shoeing today and took several walks in the snow. If she weren't here I would be outside trying to finish my igloo.

I love the snowy winter so much.

The water is gone, will start to seal it as the wind should have dried it out. Also our traffic mirror got broken so I macgyvered it, very dangerous without it.
