So when you see the cows moving, you change your underwear?

We had summer pasture and winter pasture. We had to supplement the feed with alfalfa hay daily and grains once a week. Nobody mowed shit to keep it nice-looking (except the patch of lawn in front of the house). We measured pasture by how many head per acre it could support that particular year. The cattle business is a lot different than being part of the horsey set...

You'll notice quite a difference just in the fencing...

The fields get cut, while the horses do keep much of it eaten down, other stuff besides grass grows & it looks unsightly.

Wow cows. My cat that I found 12 years ago in a woodpile with his albino brother was about 2 days old when I found him. The mother was crushed in a stack of pallets, they were wild cats that had been living out in the woods 4-5 generations or so. They all had black and white colors and are shorthaired cats. They probably all still live out there for all I know.
Last night the fucker found his "cow" It is the cow doll teddy bear that I used to prop up the bottle that he was feed out of for the first few weeks, I gave it to him when I first found him 12 years ago. My Mother ended up weaning him as he was almost dead when I found him and his albino brother died so she used the cow with the bottle, but thats a different story. So......Last night "Sylvester" found that cow that he thought was his mother Its black and white and looks like one of the wild cats.
He picked it up walked a few steps put it down and howled. He kept on doing this for 10-15 min picking it up, walking, dropping it and howling. he finally picked it up, ran down the cellar and stuck it under a pillow after he was done 'howling" for another 15 min.
After 12 years Sylvester still remembers his artificial mother. He does this every 6 months or so.
That is the end of my story about the funky cat and his cow.

(AP) – If the idea of cows creepily frozen inside a mountain cabin sounds like the stuff of horror movies, bad news: The tale's ending is no less macabre. Crews with hand saws and knives plan to carve up the cattle before the carcasses thaw. A group of US Forest Service employees will head to the Colorado cabin today to cut up the remains and scatter them. Additional nightmare-inducing detail: They'll stay overnight until the job is done.

Air Force Academy cadets snowshoeing in late March found the dead cattle in and around the cabin near the Conundrum Hot Springs. Rangers believe the cows wandered into the structure during a snowstorm but couldn't get out. Forest Service officials explored burning or blowing up the cabin with explosives but decided to cut up the carcasses instead.

According to my Snapple cap, there is a law on the books in Texas specifically making it illegal to graffiti someone's cow.

BOXFORD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Some uninvited guests crashed a party in Boxford and police had quite the time chasing after them.

Talk about being a party animal. Cows on the loose in Boxford bellied up to the bar for a few beers in a backyard.

“They enjoyed it. There’s no doubt about it. They went right for the beer and then when one was done, they’d knock another one over and take care of that beer,” said Lt. James Riter, Boxford Police Department.

Boxford Police say they heard screams and then a group of women took off when about five or six bovines crashed their backyard party. The thirsty cows eagerly helped themselves to the beers left behind.

“They got up as the cows went towards the table. They stepped back and the cows took over the table, knocking over the beers with their noses drinking the beer off the table. They went to the recycling bin to find any leftovers,” Lt. Riter said.

In a 911 call, one person told the dispatcher, “We thought they were deer, but they're huge, huge, huge cows. There's got to be five or six of them.”

One of the calls came from Andrea Poritzky.

“I just went downstairs, and I have about six cows in my yard. I don't own cows,” she said.

“I was initially a little nervous. And then after I found it very comical and not very surprising due to the fact that we live in the country here,” Poritzky said.

The cows were eventually rounded up and with a police escort, returned to their farm about a mile away.

The cows are home safe and sound and no charges were filed.
