i dont think they were there when i went there.there was no movement in that house at all.that i could see.when i drove out to lisas i never thought that this is what happened.and i wasnt playin detective it just didnt make any sense why they wasnt answering to me.you know after i found out what had happened i thought the same thing.what if the killer was stilll there.what if he woulda hurt me or killed me also.

When you heard the guy talking to Johnny was it in a loud threatning voice? Do you recognize his voice, or have any idea who the killers are? Also will you cell phone records verify you were where you say you were during these phone calls?

Just listened to you on the 911 call and I'm curious about something.

You said that Johnny said, "Bro, who are you?" followed by the phone being shut off.

In a post a few pages back you are quoted as saying that Johnny said that he was going to call you back and never did - hence why it took two hours to tell anyone.

These are two different stories. Could you please clarify?

i also told the police the exact story.he did say he would call me back.and after i left the first time i drove back and then called a friend whos boyfriend is johnnys best friend .i asked for the number she would not give it to me.she told me stay by my phone shed call me back an 20 minutes later johnnys dad called i told him what happened and told him i was driving back there did he want a ride he said yes so i turned around and picked him up thats why all the time went by.

I dont know exactly but whatever it is was something big that would show proof they was there the night of the murder some type of evidence he was scared to be found. something maybe taken the night of the murder. did the ring ever get played? we will never know unless it wasnt discarded and givin to someone.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge James Bates dismissed murder charges today against one of two East Toledo men charged in a double homicide in Springfield Township.

Cameo Pettaway, 23, has been on trial this week for the deaths of Lisa Straub, 20, and Johnny Clarke, 21, who were found asphyxiated with plastic bags over their heads in January, 2011.

After prosecutors rested their case about 2 p.m. Thursday, defense attorney Mark Geudtner made a motion for the charges to be dismissed contending the state had failed to prove its case, presenting just one piece of incriminating evidence: a Newport cigarette butt with Mr. Pettaway’s DNA on it.

Judge Bates took a 10-minute break to consider the motion before returning with his decision to dismiss two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of aggravated burglary against Mr. Pettaway.

I was afraid this was going to happen. I can't believe they actually went to trial expecting a cig butt and a few phone calls were going to convince a jury they are guilty. Keeping my fingers crossed that Williams ends differently.

i am so sick! we have now a 3^rd murder on the streets and i just lost hope as if this happen in this trial this will happen in the other...however i am sure with in the next 48 hours he will be on the news for being murdered himself. & i pray whoever kills him gets away with it (sounds harsh but true)
