Of course you can. You can say anything you want.

LE hasn't charged the Clarkes or Ramirez with attempted murder, and we haven't seen or heard about the evidence surrounding the shooting. So, there's no confirmation available to the public as to whether the investigation points to the trio plotting to shoot at Tiffany in order to scare her, to hurt her, or to kill her.

As I posted initially upthread, I'd think attempted murder charges were in order based on the first reports of the shooting, personally. But, since I haven't seen the communications between the Clarkes and Ramirez, and since I understand that those communications may point to an intent other than murder, I'm not insisting that John being a bad shot is why Tiffany is alive. I think that's very possibly the case and, if so, the charges will be upped. But, it's not the only possibility.

I hope we hear more about what the investigation has uncovered at tomorrow's pre-trial hearing.

Intent to kill is required for an attempted murder charge to hold up. Sometimes it's very difficult to prove intent.

I'm not implying that the Clarkes weren't shooting to kill, just noting that the police and prosecutors need evidence to support that charge.

If LE has evidence that the Clarkes did not plan to kill Tiffany (like them saying "we're gonna fire a few bullets in her direction and scare that bitch into telling us xxxx" in their communications with Ramirez, for example only), LE can't legitimately file attempted murder charges, now or ever.

IF, on the other hand, LE has no statements at all regarding intent but they suspect that the Clarkes intended to kill Tiffany, they can always add a charge of "attempted murder" when they obtain sufficient evidence to support it.

Just some FYI's : couple weeks ago I went to Johnny's memorial page in the Blade. The nut case had posted seven times that day. Bet the Blade didn't know that she was going to do a crazy novel. Also, her FB page, just using her name, has a lot of photos of her AND the famous posts that she posted over and over of her suspects. Bottom line here, still stark raving mad. Cheers !

Hopefully The Blade has a reporter who will cover the details in an upcoming report, Js.

The court records show that the defendants and attorneys appeared today and the hearing was continued until July 13^th. A motion by the defense to suppress evidence (wonder what it is?) was filed and will be addressed at a hearing on July 17^th.
