Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
which would make it a home invasion. i think it's all picking nits and semantics since the top charge will be murder(s).
and the police using the word 'robbery' may just be for public speaking purposes.

Straub and Clarke both died of asphyxiation and are thought to have been killed some time between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.

There was no forcible entry relating to a home invasion; however it appeared as if someone had been searching through a part of the home, according to Det. Stooksbury.

Burglary is the intent to break into a building without consent with the intent of committing a crime inside (including theft).

But if I had to take a leap, I would say that they may be calling it Robbery because the victims let them in the dwelling. That they didn't break in, so no Burglary. So they knew them, or why would they let them in?

No....the perps were NOT let in....all circumstances point to forced entry with element of surprise

I am unaware of any report of physical evidence of forced entry being mentioned to date.

So what was the intended loot:
-drugs?
-cash (from drugs)?
-cash/valuables belonging to Lisa's parents?

Why did the robbery go bad?
-J and L recognized the robbers?
-in response to J fighting back?
-J&L wouldn't give robbers info they needed to get loot?

I still don't see it as a robbery gone bad. These robbers-turned-killers would have come with guns or knives. Why not just shoot them or cut their throats. This method of killing is too personal. I could also see it as a message from another drug seller and his crew to "keep off my turf."

"UNKNOWN" posted a while ago that there was DINARS in a safe in house. Police state DINARDs were found and taken as evidence. Others have said it was common knowledge that Lisa familly had a safe there, that her dad had done well buying currency when it was sererely devalued and Lisas family was perceived as "rich".

I guess T has not had that opportunity to find a positive role

T's Mother wasnt the best that is for damn sure. However she did know love, she had a grandmother who raised and cared for her! She had the opportunity to succeed at life. Trust and believe that!
She chose to take a rougher path.

Yes I agree that either it was truly uninvited, or JC was play-acting as if it was uninvited, depending on which guess we want to go with today. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Well if your going for the death penalty, if someone is murdered in the commission of a felony (robbery, home invasion, burglary...whatever), isn't that like an immediate death penalty case? So maybe that's the motive behind LE using felony terms? Very confusing!Russian

More opportunities to get on "Maury"?

Better chances of child-support?

Who knows?

any scenario, home invasion, burglary, armed robbery, would meet the criteria for murder in commission of a felony. depending on Ohio's statutes, that sure gives the DA legal cause to seek death. they probably will because of the freakish nature of the crimes. but i predict someone involved will roll over and plea out to take DP off their table. these are going to be young actors in this bitch. looking at forever behind bars. i am waiting for one or more to flee.

Ok, now that, albeit true, was really really funny. Almost had coffee

LadyCop,

Can you give us some idea of the scope, staffing and resources of the Detective Bureau of the Lucas County Sheriff's Office; and how does it compare with the Toledo Police Dept's Detective Bureau in size, scope, experience and training?
