I think they might be laughing about a beautiful young woman who began life as a man. There's a thread in here, I can't recall the name, that details the story, there was some controversy over her competing in a beauty pageant because of the sex change.

Winning Miss Universe Canada isn't the only goal Jenna Talackova has for her future.

The transgender beauty pageant contestant says she wants to have two children.

In an interview Monday with Good Morning America, Talackova, 23, said she has a boyfriend, but she didn't tell him right away that she was born a boy.

"I think we had to get to know each other as friends first for a while, and then, of course, I had to let him know. He was very supportive, very accepting," she said of the man she's been seeing for two-and-a-half years.

The Vancouver woman was initially told she could not compete in the Miss Universe Canada competition because of rules stating she had to be a naturally born woman.

But that decision was overturned, and Talackova is now allowed to compete.
