I have no real investment in it to be honest. Would have been better for me to have more opponents and fun but as far as I am personally concerned the offer was proposed and rejected emphatically. I argued the merits of the reasoning against and I still don't really think that it sounds anything but elitist. Kind of we are not flamers we are mockers. We do it better and would not care to test it and all have better things to do. That said, all good. No reason this place should be obligated to do something they don't want to do and I would rather have people in there who want to be there.
I could be completely wrong in my interpretation too. I don't care to really push the point.
