I have a legal background and stumbled on this forum waaaaaaaaay back in the beginning by a post on MDS. I am admittedly a habitual lurker. I’m just gonna post here what I wanted to contribute to the discussion so you know where I’m coming from.

First, when I first heard the 911 call in the very beginning of all this and heard TW, the first thing I noticed was that her speech sounded slow, and considering the situation, she was extremely calm but seemed to have trouble forming her thoughts. Maybe my experience with the subject made me question whether she was on opioids, which doesn’t speak to whether or not she was involved, it’s just an observation. I have listened to it more than once and my opinion on that hasn’t changed.

Second, I have reviewed the court records and checked into the players – AG, BC, MM, etc. Criminal behavior of the type these peeps display tends to escalate, so in my mind they are each capable of anything, especially MM when you take his record together with the violent rants he puts on FB. BC doesn’t sit well with me either, they both define sociopathic behavior, in my opinion. I wouldn’t underestimate either of them. Doing time is part of the lifestyle, jail doesn’t phase them, just makes them even more angry and more capable of doing a far worse once they are released back into society. Not saying either committed this particular crime, just saying that in my opinion, they are capable of it.

Third, every inner city with gang activity has an understood code of silence. Solving crimes is almost impossible, the label of snitch is a death sentence, and even honest citizens living in the ‘hood do not come forward out of pure fear. Whenever something happens, no one has seen a thing and investigations are stymied unless definitive physical evidence comes through. Even then, eye witnesses who could testify in court and put someone away will not come forward because the perp’s connections on the outside will find them and get their retribution.

I hope the hard sleuthing done here by Mockers helps the investigation in some way. There has been a lot of digging and excellent theories but still so many unknowns. If anything, people have gotten an inside look into the subculture of gangs and the perpetual breeding of ignorance that goes on. There have been comments about these people being Wanna-Be’s and I can tell you with certainty that they are, in fact, the real deal. So much anger and hatred amongst each other, unfortunately anger is part of the lifestyle. And even more unfortunate is the fact that they breed like rabbits and bring innocent children into their situations. There should be a law against THAT……

I’m crawling back into my hole now. RIP Johnny and Lisa, my heart goes out to both families. Such a horrific ordeal and violent cast of characters associated with this, hopefully arrests are made soon so the family can begin to heal. Thanks for indulging me. Sorry, I tried to access the link for the rules but it said I don't have permission to access yet.

Anyway, I am a lady eastcoast dweller and a message board virgin. There, I said it. I've been in the legal field for 24 years and spent many years working as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney. Most of his work was state-appointed, so you can imagine the clientele, felons and murderers, but it was interesting work. I loved reading the files and seeing the evidence, getting to "know" these people and the circumstances of the crime, and how these people got to where they were. Also loved the legal aspect, the research, the trial process.... Too bad the pay sucks. For the past 10 years I've been doing corporate law which pays but isn't nearly as interesting, so I keep my nose in criminal stuff as a hobby now and keep in touch with my ex-boss for the inside scoop on what's happening with his cases.

So all that is why I'm interested in the Straub/Clarke case. It amazes me that so much info has been available on FB.... we didn't have all that back when I used to do this stuff. But there's enough info on FB now to be able to search dockets and research connections between people. Sheds a light on a lot and answers a lot of questions, except for who is responsible. Hopefully that question will be answered soon!
