Yo Nigs...narwhal news!
http://www.ack.net/placesentenced030111.html Convicted of illegally importing and trafficking in sperm whale teeth and narwhal tusks, Nantucket antiques dealer David Place was sentenced Tuesday to nearly three years in prison by a federal judge in Boston. David Place Place, 57, the owner of Manor House Antiques on Centre Street, was found guilty last November by a federal jury on seven felony counts of conspiracy, smuggling, and violations of the Lacey Act, which prohibits trade in wildlife that has been illegally taken, transported or sold. He was sentenced to 33 months in prison Tuesday by Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, according to an announcement from the Department of Justice and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA). The sentence was far less than maximum penalty he faced of 20 years behind bars and fines of up to $250,000. Place has owned Manor House Antiques on Centre Street since 2006, but has a long history on Nantucket. Originally from Rye, N.Y., he first came to Nantucket after his sophomore year of college to work as a waiter at The Wauwinet. He later opened the Stumble Inne guest house on Orange Street, and has operated antiques shops at different locations for many years. As of Wednesday afternoon, it was unclear where Place would serve his jail sentence, but Massachusetts does not have a federal prison, so he will be moved out-of-state.

I'd rather see him gang raped by angry narwhals.

I replied on topic to the thread. I still have no interest in whales.
Whales are vermin. The sooner the species is extinct, the sooner we can use sonar without worrying about eco-friendly hippies like you trying to urinate on our bonfires.

Whale song. Solid proof that Whales are Down Syndrome riddled mammals of the ocean.

These are the same creatures that purposely beach themselves and die of dehydration. The same creatures that swim towards a large piece of metal floating on the surface because they think it's another whale. If they were so intelligent, you'd have thought they'd have figured out that a boat isn't another whale. You'd have also thought that a sapient intelligence would migrate from wherever the population was being slaughtered to a safer area of Earth. The reason they don't is because they're stupid. Dolphins are infinitely smarter than a whale can ever hope to be. Hell, a tuna fish has a Ph.D when compared to a whale.

These fantastic critters are essential to the Earth, most of them (cyanobacteria) being responsible for creating that lovely oxygen we all like to breathe, the rest sitting quietly on the bottom of the ocean converting waste into delicious organic material for other critters to use. Whales are the reason that we can't pollute our atmosphere. Under normal circumstances, we could spew a shit-ton of hydrocarbon waste into our troposphere and sit back safe in the knowledge that our ocean faring algae have it covered, but NO. Whales had to go ahead and evolve in their irresponsible fashion. Fuck what humans want, huh whales? EDIT: Whales are responsible for global warming. EDIT: I'm not sure how, but I'll prove it a few posts later.

Someone was obviously psychologically scarred the first time they read Moby Dick, eh Ahab? Whales have more of a right to be here than us, face it we are just a virus with shoes fucking up the planet.
