NPR gets what they deserve.

Accepting Muslim brotherhood front money.

National Public Radio was eagerly anticipating a $5 million donation from the fictitious Muslim Education Action Center, according to the latest secret recording released by Project Veritas, which set up MEAC to sting NPR and in turn caused the resignation of two top officials early this week.

It should come as no surprise that James O'Keefe is an unethical liar who produces deliberately deceptive videos to smear his political opponents. That's been proven on many occasions and, in fact, he is currently on probation for doing so. What's surprising is that now even Glenn Beck's web site, The Blaze, is confirming this after having analyzed O'Keefe's latest videos attacking National Public Radio.

Scott Baker, Editor-in-Chief of The Blaze, published a fairly in-depth review of O'Keefe's scam wherein he compared segments of the edited version to the original unedited source material. What he found he described in his conclusion as "editing tactics that seem designed to intentionally lie or mislead about the material being presented."

O'keefe is a slimy asshat

Yup, is that why the two top execs quit, the edited version was untruthful? Greed does a funny thing, getting in the way of morals and all.

How is that much different than NPR's programming? You saying they never spin anything? Is that what you are claiming?

Sorry ACORN had to close up shop before you got your free house.

I like alot of the stuff on NPR very informative. But lately during their fundraisers they are hinting at the lowered government subsidy. They kinda piss me off when they say they are completly funded by "good viewers like you" misleading. They should be yanked off the government tit.

They should be yanked off the air for calling radio listeners "viewers." If you watch them on TV, you must have shit cable.

Let the libs pay for their fav show:

"If Washington eliminates the CPB subsidy, viewers and listeners will be asked to pony up. There may be added pressure on liberal benefactors, such as liberal billionaire George Soros, to provide seed money to send to the locals. And if that fails, some affiliates may have to consolidate with others - which would be painful, as "tough choices" usually are.

Lamborn believes that if Congress eliminates CPB funding - the Senate just voted down a House bill that included the CPB cut - stations may have to change their business model, but "they still have every opportunity to continue on in the private sector and prosper, and I believe they would."

If they want to save a few bucks, public broadcasting execs might want to look at top salaries. According to the Washington Post, NPR President Vivian Schiller's salary was $450,000 last year - plus a $112,500 bonus. PBS President Paula Kerger's compensation exceeded $630,000 in 2009. When you think about those poor rural stations scrimping on federal crumbs, those tony salaries almost make you want to cry."

Is NPR really NOT a commercial media outlet?

"Journalists by themselves accounted for 7 percent of all NPR sources. For a public radio service intended to provide an independent alternative to corporate-owned and commercially driven mainstream media, NPR is surprisingly reliant on mainstream journalists. At least 83 percent of journalists appearing on NPR in June 2003 were employed by commercial U.S. media outlets, many at outlets famous for influencing newsroom agendas throughout the country (16 from the New York Times alone, and another seven from the Washington Post). Only five sources came from independent news outlets like the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and the National Catholic Reporter."

Nope. They just don't have to sell advertising.

Last year I decided to only get the "basic" cable. I have noticed that my kids are not glued to the set anymore. 12 channels is enough....really.

You know you can watch the movies on the computer/tv with an HDMI cable, right? After I got netflix, I quit buying so many movies. I was buying at least one a week, but now I just buy one every month or so.
