IMO the mother is a total failure. Saying the child is fine everywhere but school is ridiculous.
The kid AND the mother need some serious help before he does kill someone someday.
On the other hand...I'm wondering why grown men cannot subdue an 8 year old child without pepper spraying him? I'm not even sure I disagree with him being pepper sprayed, just wonder why they couldn't grab a hold of him?

Not LC, but damn. I'd pull my kid out of that school asap. That's one messed up little dude. Maybe it's not right for an 8 yr old to get pepper sprayed, but it sure as hell isn't right for an 8 yr old to throw chairs and threaten to kill their teachers while trying to find something sharp with which to do it!

Mom is so far beyond denial...she's bordering on delusional and is much a danger as the kid. Wow...

A trip to the Grand Canyon.

I asked a Ranger friend of mine: "How many times do people fall into the Canyon?"

"Usually . . . only once." he replied.

Parents that defend their kids poor behavior are whats wrong with todays youth.
WTF?? Is she trying to say that the devil invades him as as soon as he walks into the school. Bullshit...He a little asshole everywhere else too, because of her no doubt.
If there's something wrong with this kids head, then it's her job to get him help. She says he goes to counseling and they say he is fine. They are obviously quacks, and she needs to find the help her son needs and deserves.

i've seen this happen before with violent kids. pepper-spray, cuffs, blah blah. there's always indignant outrage. i would never have wanted to be put in that position...BUT...kids kill these days. they have guns. and knives. teachers have a right to protect themselves even in a "special" school. and so do cops. an out-of-control kid CAN inflict injury. pepper spray beats a bullet. even the kid says he deserved it. further, a violent kid can injure him/herself as well. he/she needs to be stopped in his/her tracks.
the mother is a fool. her little snowflake will grow up to be ted bundy if he doesn't get a handle on his anger and obvious emotional problems.

I'm not outraged by the pepper spraying. I'm not in the know as to what alternatives the cops might have for this situation.
I'm outraged at parents that keep making excuses for their kids behavior.
The kid admitting that he deserved it tells me he has more common sense than his mother.

I did a long-term sub job for community day school for 1st through 6th grade. Kids that had been expelled from public school. There were only between 5 to 9 kids in the class at one time. Hellarious. No one would believe how bad it was. I had to watch my back and each child's back every minute. Every fucking minute.

The first week, I lived with rug burns on my elbows and forearms from doing dive/slides to save some little fuckers ass. And I wore a walkie talkie on my hip at all times. And had to use it a lot. I almost walked out that first week. But instead I got pissed. And determined. And was able to put those children in there place. It was exhausting.

Bah, to pepper spray. Just tackle the little fuckers.

I have got to give it to you. There is no way I could deal with a bunch of little hoodlums. I would catch a charge beating their ass. I think some kids are attention starved & dont care if its positive or negative attention that they get. My brother was bad as shit when he started school & all it took was my father beating his ass with a belt in front of his 1st grade class to nip that shit in the bud. It took along time for my brother to act up after that.

When police arrived, the pint-sized perp was wielding a sharp piece of wood trim he had torn off the wall and was trying to stab teachers with it, cops said.

"I wanted to make something sharp if they came out because I was so mad at them," the boy later told Colorado's KUSA television. "I was going to try to whack them with it."

Cops ordered the boy to drop the stick, but the boy refused, shouting, "Get away from me you f---ers!" police said.

Officer then sprayed the boy with two doses of pepper spray and handcuffed him.

Aiden's mom, identified as Mandy, said that the boy had anger issues and that it was the third time teachers had called the cops after one of his tantrums.

Police spokesman Steve Davis defended the police.

"Our officers had to do something to diffuse the situation in a hurry before someone got hurt," Davis told KUSA.

"I think the officers made a great choice that day in choosing the pepper spray," he added.

Kid need as ass beating pronto. Seriously, he needs some help and so does his mother. What 8 year old gets pepper sprayed at school?? Or rips wood off the school wall and tries to whack the teachers? This kid has serious problems and it's only going to get worse.

And if the cops had tackled him to the ground, his mother would be crying police brutality. No matter what they did, she would say it was wrong.
