I just spoke with a friend who was caught up in the melee after the
theater in London. He said the protesters were very peaceful and
respectful, but that there were about 200 vigilante types who infiltrated
the protest and began breaking windows and destroying anything they
could throw a brick at. My friends ducked into the Ritz and all the windows
were smashed but there was no looting. The Ritz had no extra security
nor did any security attempt to stop anyone. The perpetrators were
dressed all in black with black knit face masks, so none were able
to be identified. Over the past days, the legislature tried to ban this
form of all black dress with mask but it was deemed unconstitutional.
