Fuck you OP, you know nothing about me, even after all of the bullshit conversations we have had.

Face it short stuff, your mental problems are far from cured the delusions continue.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

I'm totally ok with the celebrating; it's NOT the same as celebrating the death of a soldier. Osama planned the murder of several thousand innocent victims. I'd celebrate the death of anyone who did that.

^^this!

The constant polarity of party politics is destroying us. It is no longer for the good of the people. It's all mudslinging and bitchslapping.

And regardless of who is in office, with the details offered thus far, I remain skeptical. Government the last few decades has become less and less forthcoming at an exponential rate. Why start taking them at their word now?

The whole thing makes me feel sick. This is why I hate arguing politics. Even if you win, you still lose.

Lies embellished by more lies in the delusion that the initial lies were in fact the truth.

Remind you of anyone?.......

STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH
May 1, 2011 Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001. I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude. This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.

I'm really torn on that. Yes I'm glad he was eliminated, but it feels icky to be glad about someone being killed. (doesn't mean I didn't smile at the news...though I think far better fate would have been servitude in a Christian, highly patriotic pork processing plant where his only nutrition was bacon and twinkies...)

Bin Laden was offering armed resistance he made sure they would have no choice but to kill him, he has said several times in the past that he would never be taken alive.

Honestly, this doesn't make a difference to me. The war still isn't over. It's just a distraction from what is going on right now. It's a little fishy to me that they're burying him at sea.

Sorry about the video, my husband was playing. I personally don't believe in "an eye for an eye". It doesn't solve anything. I'd rather see him suffer.

Fishy...sea...heh.

Fishy? Buried at sea? Pun intended? Smiley_emoticons_razz

For all the conspiracy theorists, I'm sure if Osama is alive and well, he will shortly put out a video stating that the rumors of his death are greatly exaggerated.

Personally, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it.

Remember Bin Laden was one of the head honchos of the same terrorist organisation behind the 77 bombings in London.

I do think the out in the street cheering and chanting is a little over-the-top (and doesn't necessarily reflect well on us as a country) but I understand it (sort of).

So . . . I guess keeping the troops in Afghanistan was the smart move.

And Pakistan?

Are they now our "bestest" buddy and loyal ally, again?

And the detainees . . . what now?

What you call "prim and proper" and "stick up your butt" I call mannered and rational.

Obamas approval rating has gone up 40% in the last 12 hours.

I was simply stating facts, Dick. His approval ratings (at least on foreign policy) will almost certainly go up (we'll see how long it lasts). That would be true regardless of which party was in office or other things that are or aren't occurring in the country.

You hate him so it sticks in your craw. Boo-hoo.
