Duchess, I also heard on the news that gas prices ought to come down by at least $.20 a gallon by Memorial Day if not more). I guess we'll see what happens. Actually, the "expert" I heard was predicting lower gas prices by this weekend.
On the downside, I also heard unemployment claims were inching up so "the recovery" might not happen as quickly as hoped for.

Maybe not our personal freedom at this very moment, Luke, but there are other people in the world. Like the people over there that want a chance at a good life. They wants schools and markets and peace. If we can help them with that, we have won that war.

I just read an article about the 70 shops the US is helping build near the Helmand River so people have a permanent place to make a living and feed their families. If you keep people busy with living, they will have less of an interest in killing and dying. Maybe that money will create hope in the world. The money we spend letting our citizens sit on their asses and raise illiterate children is wasted in comparison. (NOT including money spent on the elderly. We owe them. I owe them. I know that.)

take a look at the gasoline prices around the world, and get back to me if you can't figure out why Venezuela has gas prices of 12 cents a gallon and the UK is over 6 bucks a gallon and the US is right at 4 bucks a gallon now.
