Trying to connect eugenics to military preparedness is something that would have made Adolfs chest swell with pride.
Godwin's Law invoked.
I am tired of paying for able-bodied adults (no matter how short their arms may be) who get out of work by being weak-minded. Yes, I am starting to be a little bitter about it. I bet some folks in your country are, too.
Yes, there is no connection between increased domestic spending and decreased defense spending. Fucking idiot.

Is that another general statement that encompasses everyone or directed at me personally?

No, I know you work hard and expect the same of others unless there is a good reason.
I'm trying to influence voters. Because we all vote alone. I hope people really think about what they personally find important in their everyday lives and what is important to their families when they vote, no matter which part they play on the Internet.
Because we are in a bad place as a nation. I don't like this path.

I still don't know how I'm going to vote. Just reading and watching for now...
Obama's promotion of his proposed "Buffet Tax" of 30% for people earning over $1 million is being criticized heavily. It's not expected to pass either house. Possibly proposed more as a political strategy for Obama to convince middle income voters that he doesn't favor the wealthy on tax issues, but has no meat to it, from what I've read. I just want my personal and business taxes to be reasonable, damn it!

Barry knows that most Americans are stupid. He is pandering to the ignorant, and will probably win that way but he will not get my vote.

That has to be one of the most meaningless statements ever uttered.
Here's someone who, unlike you, actually knew what they were talking about.
Quote:"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents."
Major General Smedley D. Butler, USMC

If you think the electoral system is broken to the point that it's incapable of producing outcomes representative of the general interests of our nation, you have no reason to regret choosing not to participate in it.
If all people who felt that way were to stop participating, it would quickly become apparent that it is an illegitimate institution.

it would also weaken this country to the point where our government would just appoint people to life time positions and we would lose what little voice we have.
You don't seem to understand corruption loves being ignored, that is how we have gotten where we are today.

There's plenty of things people can do that are far more constructive than participating in a rigged system, such as empowering communities and building institutions that are truly democratic. And the same goes for the economy, which is also a rigged system, much like casinos are.
People need to wake up to the fact that gov't as it presently exists isn't going to fix the problems that are turning this nation into a third world shithole. At this late stage of the game, expecting that it will is insanity.

Corruption loves to be ignored, social structure will never get back the power that the people have lost to a government that has virtually made itself immune from the voice of the people.
We have no power to remove, replace or even censure our elected representatives.
The electoral college is a dinosaur that has out lived its purpose.
We have the technology to vote from our living rooms and each vote be counted as was intended.
Giving up the right to vote is exactly what a corrupt government wants history says so as does any country that is now controlled by a dictator the people are silent lest they dissappear in the middle of the night..

Can you please give me your name so I can vote for you as a 'write-in' candidate this November?
I'm relatively serious.
Thanks!

The right to vote is worthless if the electoral process isn't above board. In such a case, all it does is serve to pacify the general population by giving it the illusion of freedom.
As for modern technology, this documentary will tell you everything you need to know about how that works out for us common folk.

The documentary made no mention of a particular conspiracy theory. All it did was present facts that are thoroughly documented. So your comment is a clear indication that your mind is governed by preconception rather than rationality.
