My kids are all from a previous life, as are my wifes, we have no kids together.
My wife doesn't bitch at me for anything, we have never had an arguement in the 15 years we have been together.
we usually just take each other out for a nice quiet meal, and go for coffees or ice cream or something, it's no big deal for either of us.

That's nice, Dick. I think I remembered that about your kids. Did you raise them yourself?
I would rather have a nice dinner for a holiday than anything else. I have everything I need. I have been getting candles lately because I told everybody to stop buying me stuff, but they just can't help it. Then I remember they bought me the candles and I have a hard time burning them. Gift giving is a sickness and invokes all kinds of dysfunction.
