My name is Thunderella, and I am a noob.
It's taken me awhile to post since I signed up. I'd like to say that I was spending all that time reading the guidelines, but the truth is I am so stricken with message board apathy that I just stopped giving a shit for a few days.
How did I get here? Through Google, but I don't remember what I was Googling. Probably "message board apathy remedy" or some such. Like a lot of your noobs, I've surfed the crime news online, but the websites out there are like whoa! I mean, these idiots flood the tip lines with BULLSHIT. And yes, the majority are moms and grandmoms who should know better. I have always been interested in crime news, but holy fuck, everything has it's limits. I swear some of these people border on tampering with investigations.
The reality TV message boards have also contributed to my burn out. I mean, how can you comment on American Idol or the Bachelorette while being nice? Newsflash: any reality TV show produced after 2005...no, wait...2002...is scripted, or at the very least, the outcome is heavily influenced by the producers. Duh.
Another one of my vices is current events. I'm a news junkie. Let's just say I do need to read several news websites daily, but I am very, very careful to not scroll down to the comments. If I ever feel the need to venture there, I tell my husband to hide the knives. Same with celebrity-type websites.
I think I've come to like animals more than I like people. Except my family of course. Everyone else can go fuck themselves. Since I hit forty, I just don't give a shit.
*sigh* It feels cathartic to be able to type the word "fuck." Almost as orgasmic as actually doing it.
I guess that's it for now. My ass is yours.
