I went to Chelsea in Massachusetts today to meet with a guy that I like to call "The Egyptian Magician" only because he pops up in the strangest places. Once in New York I found him in an airport waiting to board a flight to France, I was in N.Y. checking out the new stadium they built there as I had done some work on the balancing systems for the HVAC in the place.
Anyways, this knucklehead calls me and says that Dubai sucks now (He tried to get me to move there and help set up a shop) and he was doing some work in Boston. I go to his Condo and there he is with a bunch of prints and says " have a seat, I wanna show you something" He breaks out this big waterpipe thing and puts these blocks of apple tobacco in the top and here we are watching Russell Crowe in Robin Hood fighting King Phillip and his Navy.
The lady there brings out these nuts and weird shit in a bowl and I start munching on them, well he passes me this Hookah nozzle thing and says "take a puff or two" So here I am puffing this thing that has 2 big blocks of this apple stuff that looks like a couple of glowing coals on top.
I'm getting all kinds of comfortable watching the movie smoking a hookah and drinking a Carona with lime.
The lady comes up behind me and starts rubbing my neck and that shit felt REAL good, so he says to me "The girl will take care of you if you want"
i says no thanks bub I'm married and stuck with it. he had a hard time digesting that fact and we talked about a priject in Worcester that was coming up, I knew about it before him and he was surprised that I had seen the prints already. I had been there now a few hours and it was getting dark and so I said my goodbyes and got the fuck outta there.
As I was leaving he says " there were two pieces of burning coal on top of the Hookah ......one chunk of apple tobacco and the other chunk was hash.
It was an interesting ride home tonight that chunk was a 1" square pc of hash and I never tasted it. So I smoked a Hookah tonight for the first time.

He was telling me that in a mid east resturant they have them on every table. The one he had had these silver caps on the places where you would plug in the "nozzle" It was interesting because he sat there just inhaling this thing and breathing with the tip of the nozzle in the corner of his mouth. I guess you are supposed to just sit there sucking on this thing and blowing it out your nose. It did taste good and after quitting smoking last year made me want to pick up a pack of butts on the way home. So I lit a cigar instead.

I misread the thread title and thought you tried a Hooker today Maggot. Sounds like you could have had a Hookah/Hooker combo! Man, you must have been pretty relaxed after getting spiked. Good times.

I must say it was relaxing as all hell, but I wanted to get out before it got dark. I had already got lost looking for his place and ended up at Suffox Downs and turned around. Do they even race horses there still?
I went past Revere beach and the place was stuffed with bubble butt black chicks, what a freak fest! tons of these people driving around with loud base stereo systems blasting out profanities in the air. It was fun.

Sounds like an unexpected adventure (topped off with naked swimming?). Ha, I'm jealous. My day was a fully-clothed snooze fest.

I shared a house on a lake one summer, one of the girls there had a hookah, her Dad was a contractor & brought it back to the states from Saudia Arabia. That thing was as tall as I am. When I try to recall that summer that's about the only thing I remember.

haha Daily Mail today Maggot
Hookah smoking among young adults is on the rise in California, sparking alarm from medical experts.
A new report reveals 18 to 24-year-olds using a water pipe used to smoke tobacco increased by more than 40 per cent between 2005 and 2008.
Alarmingly, scientists warn smoking hookah for one hour is equivalent to inhaling the smoke from 100 cigarettes.
Researchers at University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, led by professor Wael Al-Delaimy, conducted the study, first published by the American Journal of Public Health.
Dr Al-Delaimy, associate professor and chief of the Division of Global Health in the UCSD Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, said contrary to popular belief, hookah smoking is dangerous.
He said: 'This rise is particularly alarming because it's happening in California, a state that leads the nation in tobacco control. While cigarette smoking has decreased nationwide and in California, reports of ever using hookah have increased, especially among adolescent and young adults.'
Despite the health risks, Dr Al-Delaimy says hookah is becoming 'more of a social event', where people gather to relax and meet.
The rise is surprising to researchers, who say cigarette smoke is at a record low in the state.
'Though public indoor cigarette smoking is banned throughout California, hookah use is permitted in designated lounges. This may create the impression that hookah is a safer alternative to cigarettes, which is simply not true,' Dr Al-Delaimy states.
The research was compiled from state-wide California Tobacco Surveys that are led and directed by Al-Delaimy.
Study results showed by 2008, hookah use in California was up 24.5 per cent among men and 10 per cent among women aged 18 to 24, compared to 11.2 per cent and 2.8 per cent among all male and female adults, relatively.
The study showed smoking hookah was also more common among non-Hispanic Whites, with at least some college education. In contrast, smoking cigarettes is found to be less common among those with higher education.
Dr Al-Delaimy said more specific studies were needed to determine the affects of the rise of hookah smoking. But he encouraged lawmakers to consider banning hookah lounges, 'eliminating the implication that hookah smoking is safer and more socially acceptable than cigarette smoking.'

You can try as you might to take things away from people but you cannot force them to stop. They will find an alternative. Many self-rightous people will chase their tail all day believing otherwise. it gives them job security.
