Dale Farm in Essex is the largest static gypsy/travellers site in Europe, the people living there own the land but they do not have permission to settle or build on greenbelt land even though they own it.
The bailiffs are circling and the whole thing has become devisive with the fucking UN (
) now getting involved as the travellers accuse the local council of racism.
What do you think?, victims of a racist council?, or should they have to obey the law like everyone else?

If your gonna have a commune, build big ass walls around it and call it a gated community, that way no busy bodies are snooping around. But getting gypsys to pool their money and free time into some semblance of organization is like Godzilla trying to finger fuck a prom queen.
They have never pulled themselves together and become a force in unity. They would rather leave that to other people. I say kick-em to the curb., if they want the butter but not the bread. Fuck-em....

i've followed the story very little in the UK press. i do think the age-old stereotype of thieving gypsies plays a role, but they are squatters in any event.
there is going to be violence at Dale Farm.

Personally if they are "travellers" I think they need to saddle up and start "travelling", I have nothing against them but why should they be immune from laws the rest of us have to follow? if I want to build on my property I need to get planning permission first why should they be any different?

forgive my ignorance...can anyone just caravan around England and call themselves a "traveller"? what provides the infrastructure when they squat on public or private land... water, toilet facilities, garbage etc.?
is the UN going to provide it?

They are notorious for settling illegally in an area for a short time and leaving a hideous filthy stinking shitpile of filth and rubbish when they leave. They are also inbred, workshy, anti social types and their children run wild on dirtbikes and rarely if ever go to school. There is normally I sharp increase in crime wherever they settle, they don't pay taxes and they don't have jobs.
The UN class them as an "ethnic minority" but I have no idea why, they are not Romany Gypsies they are Irish "travellers".

Around here you have to sub-divide, it looks like someone just bought the land and said "come one.....come all". I bet whoever did buy the land gets rent in some form. I also think they just waited until this moment when judgement day was near to say "Oh look, we are just innocent travelers getting a raw deal" If their past is any indication. They will dump every miserable waste chemical they can find into the ground before they leave. If they have not already as they were not planning on staying anyways.
