No.
It's 'Old School'.
Done learned me that there term in High School algebra.

I hate it when people say "oh" instead of "zero." And "point" instead of "and" for the decimal. I give Double Oh Seven a pass on that, but no others.
I feel a little badly for kids these days. We give them shit about achievement but we forget they are doing more in middle school than most people did in high school. I'm not even sure Georgia has bonehead math anymore. How many of our generation wouldn't have graduated if they couldn't take 3 years of bonehead math?

I confess, I know nothing math wise. Here's another math problem:
The opposite of eleven times a number is 33. 3? Opposite, -3?

The answer is: "Purple."
There is no negativity in California math!
It's the law.
Besides, the opposite of -3 is 3. Get it?
"Opposite, -3?"

Tell the math teacher she's a whore. 33.3 is a non-terminating, repeating decimal which means there is no whole number times 11 that even equals 33.3. if you divide 33.3 by 11, you get 3.0272727... The opposite would be -3.02727...
I bet she has a book entitled, "Stupid Shit To Ask Kids."

Just be a smartass and tell her the opposite of 11 times a number is -11 times the same number. And then tell her she's fat.

Math is money. People who are afraid of percentages or very large numbers limit themselves as to the amount of money they will be able to successfully manage. Companies make billions on the smallest percentage of a dollar and we are too retarded as a nation to realize it. The Devil is in the decimal.
Math is the only discipline that isn't subjective bullshit. It is a set of rules. Everything else you learn is according to some asshole's opinion on the matter.
How do people figure out what they are paying for compounded interest? They don't. That's why they are broke.
