Of Forgiveness and Rehabilitation

I hate reading about kids in the crime forum, but I force myself to look just in case I see a missing kid. It makes me sick what people do to kids. I honestly think if you can hurt a child, you don't deserve to live. You aren't part of my community or part of my society. You are a fucking freak.

Do you honestly think child molesters or people who beat children to death can be rehabilitated? I just don't. There is something bad wrong and unfixable in someone that does that. After you hurt a child, you should be killed or kill yourself. You don't deserve to live.

Christians would forgive you. I think that is bullshit, too. You shouldn't be forgiven for some things. How could you ever forgive yourself and be a good person after that? If you are a good person, you would be able to recognize what you have done and should never be able to reconcile or justify your behavior. You should just die.

I don't think stress or drugs or alcohol or mental defect is a good excuse. Either you do shit like that or you don't. You should never get a second chance to do anything harmful again.

There are some things you do your life that make you worthless from then on. Hurting a child is that thing to me.

i am of the opinion based on years of observation and tracking cases of child murder, that child sexual predators CANNOT and WILL NOT be "rehabilitated". ever.
that proclivity is not amenable to change. it's hardwired in. kill them with fire.

MF made a comment the other day, something to the effect of, there should be "special" punishment for those that commit crimes of this nature. I agree with that.

I'm not really the type that gives second chances anyway. Everyone has the opportunity to do the right thing, no one should ever need a second chance or as I see it, the opportunity to do the same bad thing again.

Forgiveness is for the person wronged. It's a way of letting go and healing. It rarely has any affect on the wrong doer. Unless they really are remorseful about what they did which is rare.

Any person that harms a child in a sexual way should be given the death penalty. No exceptions. Same with a person that beats and tortures a child. They add no value to society. Get rid of the garbage.

In the past Catholics have used mindless beatings as a form of penance. I think the Nuns at the elementary school I attended relished the idea of bloody knuckles and bruised ears.

I think rehabilitation (for the whole damn raping/murdering,etc criminal society) is costing us a fortune, not only in material costs (housing, clothing, food), but also in the lives of the corrections officers that have the job of not only keeping these people behind bars, but trying to coordinate Meds, Dr.s and various other programs-all the while having to look over their shoulders, for attacks.

The alternatives as I see them are A) build a giant gas chamber, one that incinerates as well so there's not a lot to bury. B) Build a high voltage electric fence around some island near the ring of fire and dump them all on it.


While I don't think you are being judgmental, my mind keeps flipping back to the way the justice system has evolved over the decades and centuries. There are people that would argue public hangings, stockades and the way we used public humiliation back then was inhumane-but at least we weren't paying to feed, house and clothe them back then. Hell now, NH releases them back into society 90 days earlier to cut costs.

I agree and have for a Very long time. There should be a fair trial based on a good investigation, then shoot them in the head. A 9 cost what? 20 cents? Let the families clear the body off the street. I lived in some fucked up places when I was a kid, no one got killed, but there was plenty of abuse going around. Just some of the reasons I live in a nice place now so I don't get exposed to that kind of BS, keeps me from going on a Mission to clean up the street. There is no rehabing of these creeps, they are what they are from an early age, pop them and be done with it.

You can't rehabilitate demons. If they are going to continue to release the bastards then they should have to wear an ankle monitor 24/7, I'd be willing to pay the taxes. It sickens me that there is a guy living less than a mile away who sodomized a child under 12. Where are my childrens rights? There was a guy here who ran over a little girl and killed her. He was riding a motorcycle drunk; it was his 6^th or 7^th offense or something ridiculous.

I don't think he was in jail more than a few weeks when another inmate killed him. I couldn't have been happier.

I like the idea of throwing them in with the general population.

You are really digging deep here Cracker. These things which you speak are too profound for us mere mortal folk.

Here's what I do know, there is evil in the world and it is a decision that someone makes when they make that choice.

I mean, just this year, when we think of someone like little Leiby Kletzky and what about the Petit murders? The little 11 year old being anally raped minutes before her death. Does this kind of evil exist in our world? It's hard to process.

I think LC and yourself are right, I don't think these people can be rehabilitated. Why don't we have the death penalty for these fuckers that hurt a child? I believe they would think twice before they crossed the line. Or like Judge Judy said, dump them in the desert and let them live like lepers. That's my take.
