The Broward Sheriff’s Office says it is searching for an 11-year-old Dania Beach girl who went to check the mail Monday and did not return home.

Ashley Verney was reported missing at about 2:20 p.m. from the mobile home park where she lives on the 5100 block of SW 30^th Avenue in Dania Beach, the BSO said.

Deputies have been searching by ground and air, and a be-on-the-lookout message has been issued in three counties.

Foul play is not suspected, the Sheriff’s Office said.

An 11-year-old girl missing from Dania Beach was found safe Monday, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Ashley Verney was found walking in the 3100 block of Stirling Road in Hollywood, more than a mile away from her home.

i woke up during the night thinking about this girl. happy to see she is safe.

it seems little girls + trailer parks + sex offenders = one damn tragedy after another. sadly i expect the worst these days.
