I just refreshed and it got rid of the snow and everything is normal again.
Even the smilies are lined up towards the left like good lil soldiers.

I think the effect might make some people load slower due to how it's probably a javascript being be run for the effect.

Yea, older computers will struggle a bit to handle this... time to whip out the coding editor and reduce the number of snow flakes... that will help

My computer was brand new in October.
Anyhow...I downloaded Google Chrome and all is well. The snowflakes are gone now.

There will now only be 15 snow flakes at once compared to the previous 25.
They move at a rate of 50 milliseconds compared to the previous 30 milliseconds. Better?

I'm slowly getting used to it. Definitely won't keep me from getting my daily Mock fix, that's for sure. Plus they are calling for a green Christmas this year, so it's nice to have a little snow somewhere.
