Gawd, I'm dying here. I can't believe we are open until 5pm.
The phones are dead. I have done all my work.
No one is here to tangle with. I would even go a round with MF at this point.

Are you the only one on Mock that has to work today? It sucks to be you..
I thought yesterday sucked, waiting till the end of the workday. That is, until I got to Toys R Us, then I was wishing I was back at work again.

I probably am the only one working today. I am about to slit my own throat for entertainment.

Only Ramsey would question why it might be a little quiet on a computer forum this time of year.

My home computer rings my cellphone that sets up a facebook online message to my work computer that rings my work cell phone to call my house phone that rings the front door buzzer whenever some one replies to one of my postings.
The problem arises that when the batteries get low on my private cellphone it dials 911 and later blames it on me "ass dialing". Other than that preventative move I usually respond quickly. I care THAT much.

I had to work today as well. We've got a thing called 6S which I can't remember what it stands for but it means we have to keep our areas clean so I spent part of the morning vacuuming and dusting. It was better than being at Toys R Us.
Found it:
Sort - Distinguish between what is needed and not needed and to remove the latter.
Stabilize - Enforce a place for everything and everything in its place.
Shine - Clean up the workplace and look for ways to keep it clean.
Standardize - Maintain and monitor adherence to the first three Ss.
Sustain - Follow the rules to keep the workplace 6S-right—"maintain the gain.".
Safety - Eliminate hazards. (We added this sixth "S" so we could maintain the focus on Safety within our Lean events and embed safe conditions into all our improvements.)

Those two are clutter. They are redundant and not needed. Point that out next time your boss irritates you. They should only have 4.
And they really should be in alphabetical order: Safety, Shine, Sort, Stabilize. That would make much more sense.
Tell your boss I said he is a douche.

But 6S sounds like SUCCESS, which makes me feel like a champion after doing housework.

I totally missed that connection.
You know some asshole got rich off that, right?
We had to read the cheese book a few years ago at work. I am an old pothead, so I immediately noticed they stole the whole premise from the Handbook to Higher Conciousness. I didn't read the book because I'm a militant asshole. I don't go for mass indoctrination, especially since they raised the insurance rates. They can find the cheese by themselves.
