The Jodi Arias Trial--Fatal Attraction – The Murder of Travis Alexander

I'm so glad that Travis' family is hanging in there and not settling for a prison sentence. I'd like to see her burned at the stake, stoned in the village square or stabbed numerous times and then shot. I approve of all those methods.

More delays in penalty retrial expected - this time due to prosecution conflicts

The March 17th penalty retrial date set for convicted killer Jodi Arias has been put aside because of a conflict prosecutor Juan Martinez has with another potential death-penalty trial.

Martinez is supposed to begin trial May 12 for Bryan Hulsey, 40, who is charged with the 2007 murder of Glendale Police officer Anthony Holly. The Hulsey trial has been repeatedly postponed.

The Hulsey case is the oldest capital murder case in the county awaiting trial.

On Feb. 19, 2007, Officer Holly, 24, was providing backup for another officer after they made a routine traffic stop of a car in which Hulsey wa a passenger. When Hulsey was ordered out of the car, he pulled a handgun from his waistband and shot Holly to death.

But defense attorney after defense attorney dropped the case, each time pushing the trial further back in time. It is now set for May 12 before Judge Joseph Kreamer.

Today's hearing was intended to resolve any possible conflict between the two cases. Martinez, who is on medical leave for undisclosed reasons, attended the hearing via telephone.

Martinez mentioned that the Arias trial might further bump back the Hulsey trial unless another prosecutor were appointed to it. One of Martinez’ supervisors, who was present in the courtroom, said that wouldn’t happen.

Welty ruled that Hulsey’s trial would go first because it was the older of the two. Welty left the rescheduling of the Arias trial to Judge Stephens.

Penalty Re-Trial Date Set (again)

Well, let's hope there are no further delays.

Judge Stephens slated the re-trial to begin on September 8th.

If the new start date is adhered to, a penalty phase jury will start hearing evidence almost a year and a half after Arias was convicted of 1st degree aggravated murder, and whether Arias lives or dies should be decided just in time for Christmas 2014!

I've been thinking about thattwatjodi so I went looking for news about this case. I stumbled upon a site that has Travis' autopsy pix. Reading what she did to him is a lot different than seeing what she did. They are very graphic pix. I hesitate to post them only because I wouldn't want anyone to come upon them unexpectedly. They are shocking. I'll post the link so you all have a choice on whether or not to check them out. If you all prefer them to be posted I will do so. I wanted to give you options.

I've got an update. Get this: Jodi is going to represent herself at her penalty re-trial. I shit you not.

She petitioned the court to be allowed to do so and today Judge Stephens ruled that it's her right.

The penalty phase re-trial is set to begin on September 8th in Phoenix.

Now I wish the retrial show was going to be broadcast. What a narcissistic fool.

You were editing while I was merging.

We've got timing and rhythm, Cars.

It's an effin' shame we won't be able to watch Jodi Arias, attorney at law, in action -- but, I 'm sure it will be reported on heavily.

I clicked on the link Duch. What was all that stuff on the side, the porn. It was grotesque and unusually gratuitous. The women looked like they were being raped. What was that? Is it a website that looks at these kind of autopsy pictures in a kind of voyeuristic fashion? I was interested in looking at the crime scene pictures, but it was kind of weird having all those intimate shots too. I didn't get it. If there is a more clinical version of the crime scene pics that I could take a look at I would appreciate it.

Thank you HoTD, I was re-reading to see what I have missed. Also, was the images of her vagina shots shown to the jury? I know I'm a prude but to me it looks downright wacky.

Sorry about that, Aussie. I can't even recall where I found that, it seems so long ago.

Jodi had a lot of very intimate pix out there. Her bottom isn't pretty, neither is her kitty. Meh. They weren't for my viewing pleasure they were for the men in her life, they may have found them very attractive.

I went to another link that was posted in here dazereader.com/2013/01/jodi-arias-trial-nude-photos-uncensored same pics and there were comments from people liking her! Too gross for words.

I cannot even find the words to describe her. I was watching this psychopath on the Discovery channel last night, and you could tell he was a psychopath and he looked weird and he suffocated himself eventually in prison.

With Jodi, what's the deal? What's with the soft spoken librarian look? I don't get it. She isn't manipulating anyone after inflicting such evil on this poor man. She reminds me of OJ when I see his throat cut like that.

I feel that as long as she is breathing she is manipulating someone. If she's not given the death penalty she will make a life for herself behind bars and she will attempt to manipulate all those she has contact with, whether it be for better food, cosmetics or the movie of her choice on a Saturday night. She will take a lover who offers her protection and she will do whatever she has to do in order to have a nice life behind bars.

Yeah, those photos -- along with the ones of Travis alive in the shower and a couple of other presumably accidental shots after the murder -- were recovered from Arias' camera. That camera was found by investigators in Travis Alexander's washer.

All of the pics from that camera were part of the crime scene evidence and were thus presented to the jury.
