Well it certainly won't be for lack of trying.

It was Christmas Eve, but thanks for trying.
You probably don't get gifts so the days kinda blend together for you. When you have a family, you have distinguish a little better between the holiday events.
You think he flew his entire staff and security detail home for the one day then back to Hawaii on the 26th? Because I don't.
Cracker, you're a very sharp person. I think everyone knows that.

Just the way I see it.
Morons seldom see beyond the surface of things, like this small question.
was it really necessary that The President and the first lady travel at different times? separate flights separate security details and twice the cost to the tax payers.
Maybe you see that as normal and good also?

I blame the Republicans in congress for that. If they'd passed the payroll tax bill earlier, the President and his wife could have traveled together.

Last I heard was that the President doesn't have a vote in congress, that's what the vice president does.
The first lady still could have waited for her husband don't you think?
or is that not what most people do especially in this economy?
If they wanted to pick up the 4 million dollar tab they can do whatever they want to, but when they use tax payer money they should stand accountable.

Dammit!!!
I had it all set up so I could say "good doggy, I like it when you come when I yank your chain" but no matter how I type it, it sounds like a sexual reference.

A recently widowed teen mom shot and killed an intruder to protect her 3-month-old son on New Year's Eve after asking the 911 operator for permission, local media reported.
Sarah McKinley, 18, was alone with her son in their Blanchard, Okla., home about 2 p.m. Dec. 31 when two men tried to break in, the Oklahoman said.

is it commercial or police-issue? there is a difference and i caution people about relying on them. some people, like me, are immune to pepper-spray.
you could just further enrage an assailant rather than stop/drop them.
they are not all created equal. what is OC% ?

I doubt it is police-issue but I can't say for certain right now. It's called Defender.

Got the Roku box today. Super easy to set up. Not missing cable AT ALL (yet). I am going to buy two more for the house and a couple more for the grown kids (not the expensive one like the first one, just the cheap ones). For what I pay for cable services for two months, three households can get free streaming for years. I like that.
We don't watch network TV much anyway, mostly Netflix and Hulu Plus, so it is a good deal for us. Maybe we will unhook from the TV a little. That would be a good thing. Cut the cord and all that. Plus, dumping cable made me figure out how to watch British TV in the US, so I am learning already.
Is it ghey to start a Roku thread? I'm too excited, right? I feel so empowered! Like those people who tell big oil to shove it up their asses and start riding their bikes to work. Only I am empowered sitting down. Because I'm a little lazy.

I'll open myself up to ridicule by asking what the hell is a roku box?

I think it's streaming video, it picks up the wi-fi in your home. If you have a Wii you can do it with that too.

Roku is a small black box that allows you to instantly stream your favorite TV shows and movies to your TV, but most are unaware of how much content is really available. Not only can you stream tens of thousands of movies and TV shows from services like Netflix, Hulu Plus, & Amazon Video On Demand (VOD), but you can also stream sporting events and music from Pandora, iTunes, and MOG.

I've got a roku and it's great. I haven't had cable TV for at least 10 years.

I've never heard of it. As soon as I made that reply, I clicked on a news link and there it was...
