It's been fun, User. I never told you this before now, I don't know why, but I will now, I think you have beautiful eyes.

You know, there's nothing like endearing words of encouragement for someone who is scared to death to fly. User, you always know the words to help with that fear. In case you forgot what you said, check out the following:

Teacher wrote: You just have that special talent for making others feel better, don't you? User: You'll be fine. I know it. Enjoy your visit with your son. Smiley_emoticons_smile And wave to me! I'm very close to SF and will be thinking of you. You're more likely to get hit by a logging truck on your way to Tahoe btw. Teacher: User, the obese person next to you could come in handy in case of a crash! Just think, all of that soft padding you'll have to cushion yourself. Teacher: Well, I made it. Just a little turbulence on the plane; no logging trucks in sight; there was an accident on the way back to the airport (one vehicle side-swiped another right in front of us) - probably User. Didn't stop either. Two major disappointments on my trip to SF. One I didn't get to meet HotD; the other was leaving Reno a day early due to snow. After about 2 hours on I-80 W we were stranded for 55 minutes on top of a mountain - later found out due to an accident several miles down the road. The snow was really heavy and covering everything. A guy in front of us got out of his car (while we were stranded) and built a snowman and made snow angels. Enough about my wonderful trip - my son & wife were, of course, the highlight of our trip. User, have a wonderful time, safe flights, and don't run into any Mexican cartels. HotD, enjoy that gorgeous view from the Pacific Coast Hwy. Both of my sons made that trip and loved it - insisted we take the same drive. Did it last year when we flew to Vegas, rented a car, and then took the long way to SF to visit my son. Absolutely breath-taking! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I probably shouldn't have teased her before takeoff. I hope she didn't see that, maybe she'll be drunk next time she checks in and will miss it completely.

Duchess,
I'm sure she was laughing about it - or will laugh about it when she reads it. I thought it was funny. Your post is what prompted me to post mine.

Teacher,
I'm so glad you had a great time with your family, though it's a bummer about Reno. I too am disappointed we didn't meet this time. We were all set to meet you on the 4th and ended up going to brunch when I didn't didn't hear back. I'm glad you weren't tied to your PM and email while you were here - you had some darn nice weather for most of your stay! My neighbor was tuning up my truck on the 11th or I would have tried to sneak up on you at lunch. Next time you come for a visit, we'll set an exact date and time in advance. Totally agree about the California coast: the 101 / 1 drive is one my favorites in the world. It truly is gorgeous. Tryin' to get all my stuff done today so I can hit it early in the morning and take my time. Will post some snaps, assuming it doesn't rain on me - fair skies today. P.s. it's a very short flight to Cabo from here; user's probably sitting poolside sippin' a margarita. I'm sure she doesn't even remember the plane ride at this point...

Agreed, especially if you can't fit in one seat and half of your body is blocking the aisle. Lucky for me, the one time I flew on a plane I fit comfortably in the one seat and weighed about 270 at the time. The dude in the pic looks twice that weight. Yuck.
