I've never had venison that didn't taste extremely gamey.

Do not take Ramsey's advice. Either become a vegetarian or learn to like venison, elk, buffalo, and other free roaming meat. It's leaner and much healthier. Not to mention more humane than the meat you buy from a grocery store that was pumped full of antibiotics and hormones and raised in a cramped factory farm.

You can find grass fed, free range beef online. I order jerky from one such place all the time.

NO...NO...NO
A video will not be necessary as I have seen one before. It doens't gross me out as much as the site of a dead deer hangin in my back yard. I had to witness that more times than I can count when I was married.

What's really weird is that I like my steak medium with lots of pink. But I don't want to know where it came from before it got to the grocery store.

And I hate the taste of venison. It's nasty and gamey and it stinks to high heaven when you cook it.

You mean to tell me that slaughterhouse and processing plants are less gross to you than a clean killed carcass hanging?

That is truly fucked up.

Australian Paper Confirms Giant Pig Killed by Farmer

This giant feral pig was shot on a Pilbara, Australia, cattle station after it was spotted eating a dead cow.[/b]

The picture has been circulating on the Internet alongside claims the boar was killed at various locations across the continent. It had been written off as a hoax by many, including the local Department of Environment and Conservation, and sparked much debate when published on the Web site for newspaper PerthNow.

But The Sunday Times of Australia confirmed that the pig was shot at a Pilbara cattle station near Newman, 744 miles northeast of Perth.

Sources close to the family of the man in the photo have confirmed he is Pilbara pastoralist John Anick and the picture was taken on his property three years ago.

The family refused to talk about the giant boar, for fear that illegal pig hunters would flock to the area.

The source said the beast was eating a cow when it was first seen by workers mustering cattle in a helicopter. Mr Anick saw it again on a trip to check windmills on the property and shot it.

Venison is an excellent meat... very lean, nice flavour when cooked properly, and doesn't smell any worse than lamb when cooking. Fresh venison backstraps off a young doe are divine... Especially on a bed of mash with a well cooked red wine jus

Growing up on the dirt, I don't get the whole squeamish thing. we slaughtered all of our meat when I was young. Everything from poultry to pork to beef. If you want some out there experiences in food, you should spend a little time with some traditional Indigenous Australians. I've been lucky enough in my time to spend a bit of time hanging around a few and have tried snake, goanna, echidna, kangaroo and a plethora of native fish, plants and vegetables. The most interesting being a nest of ants the locals call 'sugar bag' for the intense sweet taste you get when you squish the abdomen into your mouth.

Still have to say the weirdest thing I've ever eaten was deep fried Guinea Pig in Peru. Apparently the tradition comes from Ecuador, but it carried on through. Was pretty tasty though

Lamb ?...Holy Hell !...I hope it stinks to high heaven when people cook it...The only thing better is if they had to listen to the pitiful screaming from that darling critter...I don't eat baby animals, it's bad enough that I eat their parents.

Aww c'mon now, petal. eating baby animals is no different to eating animals in general, they just taste better. I remember eating four day old veal fillet in Lyon that i thought was going to melt in my mouth it was so good. You just have to remove all the smoochy woochy warm and fuzzy stigma and call it for what it is; It was bred to be eaten, only the chronology is different

Therein lies the problem, I simply can't...When I see those beautiful young calves chained so that they can't move, God forbide they should have any muscle, I don't think, Mmmm, dinner...I think, you rotten fuck of a farmer, I hope your milk cows dry up.

Yeah well you got me there.. I don't subscribe to that kinda shit. Chaining creatures up and using hormones and all that other kind of freaky shit is pretty fucked... Every time we slaughtered a beast, my old man would make sure we never had it riled, made sure that it was stress free at the time. Something about stress induced adrenalin making the meat taste different

I'm not a picky eater, but one thing I can't stand is lamb. My uncle cooked a leg of lamb for Christmas and made me take a bite of it with mint jelly. I tried to be polite and hide the fact that I was about to puke all over the kitchen floor.
