I see this thread has really taken off in my absence.
Nice thread, Ramsey!
Dick, it would be great if you'd continue to start 3-4 senseless threads a day. I say that in the nicest possible way. Post 'em up, babe.
Sally, I don't know what you're drinking this week but I'd love to get you shit faced.
Such good Mockers. Yup.
I had wine with lunch, my boss' treat, she drove, in my mind it sounded like I had rine with wrunch. I swear I'm not tuned in.

I've been drinking wine because I need to lose 10 lbs and I figured the wine would be a little better than beer. What's a good wine that isn't too sweet or too dry? I'm not a wine connoisseur and have yet to find one that I really like.

I'm not a connoisseur either but I can tell you that wines don't have to be expensive in order to be wonderful.
Colores del Sol Malbec...it's an Argentine wine and is awesome served with grilled foods. It's very reasonably priced & one I always suggest when people ask.
Segura Viudas Reserva Heredad...from Spain. Again, the price is more than reasonable. I give it as a gift. It's not only delicious, it's beautifully packaged and the bottle itself is a work of art.

I like White Zinfindel. I think I pay about $15 for a bottle.
Clearly I am not in Dick's exclusive wine club.

This what happens when you don't read well.
You would be half way tolerable if you didn't post.

You didn't post a price range with your question.

Riesling, sally. Mondavi Johannesburg Riesling is good for about $8 a bottle. I like Blue Nun Riesling, too, about $12 a bottle. The Blue Nun is crisp and goes with meat or fish. Good all 'round get drunk wine.

Thats what I've been drinking and like the best so far. I haven't tried Mondavi or Blue Nun yet, I usually buy the Schmitt Sohne.

Had you been nicer I would have offered to send you some local wines, they are pretty good.

Do I look like goddamn Oprah, Dick? I don't wan't a $2,000 bottle of wine, especially one that I don't even know what it tastes like. Good trick though, I actually wrote it down and was going to ask the guy at the liquor store if he carried it.

I'll check that out. If you want a different riesling, try grey riesling. It isn't really a white wine (more rose) and it is harder to find, but good.
I'm a cheap bitch and usually drink Ballatore Gran Spumante. haha No airs here.

The wines I suggested are really inexpensive wines. I think at least one of them is under ten bucks, maybe both of them. I'm not spending all my shoe shopping money on expensive wine.

I will buy nice wine if I am going somewhere or if I am just getting one bottle. The thing with wine, though, is that you never just need one bottle.
I will try yours if they have it at Publix. If I could pronounce them, I would ask for them at my fav drive through package store.
Do you call them "package stores" up North? That is the stupidest fucking thing. I couldn't figure out where to buy tequila the first three months I lived here.
