Picking up my daughter from her Brownies (girl scouts) meeting today, I have to say I don't look like a parent, dressed in black jeans, black Dr Marten boots,a black slipknot T-shirt, black leather jacket and black skull and crossbones baseball cap.
Do you "dress your age"?

Is it safe to assume when you walk your daughter in your neighborhood offering girl scout cookies she completely sells out?

That's what happens when you never grew up, had a kid out of wedlock, and raised rodents.

I think I look younger than most parents. Of course I got married and had my daughter when I was 16. My kids will be grown and out of the house by the time I'm 40.
I don't dress in anything too crazy, usually just jeans and a T-shirt. I have Slipnot, Pantera, and Overkill t-shirts. My husbands wardrobe pretty much consists of baggy jeans, work t-shirts with our company name on them, a baseball cap, and a pair of boots.
So no, I don't wear mom jeans with floral print shirts and my husband doesn't wear khaki shorts with penny loafers lol.

I'm probably missing it living in SoCal, but what do people who "dress their age" look like?

Even though I dress casual (I had a T-shirt on yesterday with a pot leaf on it) I still think thats dressing my age. What wouldn't be dressing my age is if I wore a mini skirt and a belly shirt with multiple piercings and dyed my hair purple. I might have been able to get away with that when I was 18, but now I would just look like an old crazy skank.

i meant to say, age is no consideration or factor unless you're wearing 'depends'.
i agree with Sally, i loathe seeing fat old sweathogs in belly jeans and spandex tank tops. don't those people own mirrors? ::bvomit::
casual is always age-appropriate unless they are trying to look 15 at 45. then they merely appear ridiculous.

Thats why dressing in nothing but a raincoat will never go outta style ....no matter how old you are.

I've gone into Cowboy's office and done that wearing nothing but my coat...It makes him lose his train of thought when he's on the phone. ::dlaugh::
I don't know. I dress the same as I pretty much always have.
I wear tank tops a lot. Jeans or shorts depending on the weather. Birks almost all the time. That's about it.
