T.J. Lane has been indicted in the Chardon High School shootings.Lane, 17, of Munson Township, will be arraigned Friday afternoon in Geauga County Common Pleas Court on three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault.There are also six firearm specifications in the indictment, which was released Tuesday.The maximum penalty he faces is life in prison without parole.Lane is accused of entering the school cafeteria Feb. 27 and shooting six students. Three of the victims — 17-year-old Russell King Jr. and 16-year-olds Demetrius Hewlin and Daniel Parmertor — died.Prosecutor David P. Joyce did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.Defense attorney Mark DeVan declined comment.Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Judge Tim Grendell ruled last month that Lane, who isbeing held in the county Juvenile Detention Center without bond, must be tried as an adult.Lane was found in a wooded area with a handgun and knife in Chardon Township after the shootings shivering and wearing a shirt with the word “Killer” on it, Geauga County Sheriff’s Deputy Jon Bilicic testified at the bindover hearing.Lane reportedly told Bilicic he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, was not suicidal, was not angry with anyone and was not being bullied.When asked repeatedly why he committed the crimes, Lane reportedly replied, “I don’t know why I did this.”During a competency hearing, renown forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick testified that Lane suffers from a mental disease that has caused him to hear voices at times.However, the prosecutor argued there was nothing in Lane’s medical records indicating he ever suffered from hallucinations.Joy Rickers, 18, was the first victim released from the hospital. Nick Walczak, 17, was left paralyzed from the waist down after the incident.Another student, junior Nate Mueller, was grazed in the ear by a bullet.

T.J. Lane, Ohio School Shooting Suspect, In Plea Talks According To Lawyer Ian Friedman

CHARDON, Ohio — Negotiations are under way for a possible plea deal for a teenager suspected of killing three students at a high school cafeteria, one of his attorneys said Friday.

Attorney Ian Friedman confirmed the negotiations but wouldn't offer details about the discussions in the case of 18-year-old T.J. Lane.

Friedman said if a plea occurs it could happen as early as Lane's next court date, on Feb. 26, the day before the anniversary of the deadly shootings at Chardon High School, east of Cleveland.

He calmly unbuttoned his blue dress shirt to reveal the T-shirt reading "killer," which the prosecutor noted was similar to one he wore during the shooting.

At one point, he swiveled around in his chair toward the gallery where his own family members and those of the slain teenagers were sitting and spoke suddenly, surprising even his lawyer.

"The hand that pulls the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory," he said, then cursed at and gestured obscenely toward the victims' relatives.

Life without parole. Good for the families of his victims and society in general.

His shirt and spewings at the victims' families just make him look like a cowardly little punk trying to act badass and get the last word. That little act won't get him too far in prison.

Tbh, i felt a lil more compassion for him than i usually would for ppl in his situation. He seemed like a kid who was truly fucked up and hurting. Not that i didn't hate him for what he did, but i felt a teeeensy tiny bit sorry for him...i know better now.

He's a lil bastard and i hope he has fun in prison. Cowardly bitch

I think I posted about his escape and recapture last year in the KILLER ON THE ROAD thread. But, I never followed-up until you made me look today.
