So drug dealing, ghetto talking little thug bastard aside, do you think it's more likely the kid got mad at the spic for questioning him and just walked over and decked him or do you think Zimmerman approached the kid first and did something to provoke a fight?

Sally, I think Zimmerman stalked the kid and intimidated Trayvon beyond his ability to remain composed. Since Zimmerman had no uniform indicating he was behaving in some acceptable capacity, Trayvon assumed the worst and felt in danger for his life then reacted when he had the chance. This was after he had hidden from Zimmerman in order to turn the tables on the self appointed snoop.....IMO

Where is the anger, folks?
I am pretty angry because I am so tired of hearing the one-sided media and then reading all the comments on AJC that are based on emotion and misinformation. My black friends, and I do have them, refuse to even consider any scenario that doesn't fit their perception of what happened. But then again I am a white gal from metro Atlanta so I guess I am a racist too.

Maybe Trayvon was sick of "The man" putting him down. The kid was 17 at that age they are 300 lbs and bulletproof. But Zimmerman being an adult should have used some common sense. It all stinks and is just an excuse to create mayhem on the dark side of the rainbow. I bet blacks in general will use this as an excuse to ravage the local walmart in the name of Trayvon. Stupid is as stupid does.

The Orlando Sentinel reported today that George Zimmerman told police he lost 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in the neighborhood he regularly patrolled and was walking back to his vehicle last month when the youth approached him from behind.
The two exchanged words, Zimmerman said, and Martin then punched him, jumped on top of him and began banging his head on a sidewalk. Zimmerman said he began crying for help; Martin's family thinks it was their son who was crying out. Witness accounts differ and 911 tapes in which the voices are heard are not clear
The article also said that "all evidence at the scene appears to support" above scenario. also the 911 tape was sent to FBI to try to determine which one was doing the crying out.

Sanford acting police Chief Darren Scott addresses the media on the Trayvon Martin case
News13
SANFORD --
The public will have to wait to get more details into the investigation of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin's death.
Tuesday, the city of Sanford said it is handing over the case -- and directing all questions pertaining to it -- solely to the state Attorney's Office, in Jacksonville.
There will still be a lot of work happening behind the scenes by both the city and police, but officials said they are no longer holding daily news updates on the Trayvon Martin case at this time.

A tragedy exploited
By Michael Graham

We should have known the minute we saw Al Sharpton.
As soon as this opportunistic, race-baiting buffoon (or as he’s known by his friends at MSNBC, “respected journalist”) showed up in Sanford, Fla., to whip up fear and hate, all of America should have stopped right then and reconsidered our rush to judgment.
A week ago, the story of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman was the story of an innocent black kid targeted, stalked and executed by a trigger-happy white man for no reason other than hate.
A week ago, George Zimmerman was the evil offspring of Jim Crow and Barney Fife — an overzealous cop-wannabe with an anti-black attitude.
Today we know that Zimmerman is, in fact, Hispanic. That he’s a registered Democrat. That he had not, as was widely reported, called 911 some 46 times in the previous year. (Zimmerman made 46 such calls since 2004).
More important, we have more facts about what happened that night: physical evidence (grass stains, blood and bruises) and eyewitness testimony tending to corroborate Zimmerman’s claim that Martin was assaulting him when Zimmerman fired in self-defense.
Does this mean Zimmerman is innocent? Does it mean Martin deserved to die?
Of course not.
What the facts today — as opposed to the assumptions of a week ago — do prove is that claims that this case is part of some “USofKKKA” conspiracy were always an opportunistic, hate-inspiring lie.
But given the sources — Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the New Black Panther Party and the mainstream media — why should we be surprised?
Apparently we’ve learned nothing from the Tawana Brawley or Duke lacrosse cases. Self-serving race-activists tell their tales and the American media follow blindly along.

Washington (CNN) -- A congressman was removed from the House floor Wednesday after giving a speech about Trayvon Martin while wearing a hoodie.
Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Illinois, told House members, "racial profiling has to stop."
Rush, a former Black Panther who was active in the civil rights movement in the 1960s, then took off his suit jacket, pulled a gray hoodie on over his head and put on sunglasses.
"Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum," he said.
Rep. Rush: A hoodie is just clothing
The congressman spoke during the morning session, when members are allowed to address any issue. He applauded young people across the country who are wearing hoodies to make a statement about Martin, the teen who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt when he was killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Florida.
As soon as Rush removed his jacket and put the hood on his head, Rep. Greg Harper, R-Mississippi, who was presiding over the House floor, began to gavel Rush down, saying he was out of order.
Rush ignored him, and with the hoodie still pulled over his head, continued to speak, citing the Bible.
Harper continued to bang the gavel. "The gentleman will suspend. The member is no longer recognized," he said. "The chair must remind members that clause 5 of rule 17 prohibits the wearing of hats in the chamber when the House is in session."
A floor clerk approached Rush as he finished his remarks and led him away from the podium.
Afterward, Rush told CNN he was wearing a tie, suggesting he was appropriately dressed for the House floor. He said the purpose of putting on the hoodie was to send a message to young people, "to stand their ground, stand up and don't stand down."
As for violating the House rule on wearing hats, Rush pointed to his hooded shirt and argued, "this is not a hat, this is a hoodie."
"I don't mind being out of order if it means standing up for truth and justice," Rush said.
He said the public debate over Martin's death was a continuation of the movement in which he participated during the 1960's. "This is just another part of the struggle. I've never left those days. Those days are deep down in my soul."
Noting that he was standing in the Capitol, Rush added, "Many people have given their lives so I can be here and once I got here I can't forget whose shoulders I'm standing on."
The Illinois lawmaker said he understood that those on the floor who ruled him out of order and the staffer who moved him off the floor were doing their jobs, and said he was able to finish his speech.
"A lot of it was theatrical, but I wanted the message to go forward," he said.
Rush said he and Rep. Jackie Speier, D-California, were organizing a gathering of House members wearing hoodies on the East Front of the Capitol later this week.

The scary thing is this is nationwide and the riots are going to start anyday. This whole country could, and probably will riot over this stupid shit. How the fuck do we pay for something like that?
I'm not even talking about the killing. That's a totally different subject at this point. I'm talking about the niggers out there, all over the country, clogging up our state capitals, and creating traffic nightmares...all on our dime while they're doing it. And then we get to pay for the clean-up after they're gone. If they were decent blacks, they would be at work and being productive to society.
Cracker...watch how they will prove everything you've ever said on here, to a tee! Actually, they already have.
I'm not one to give into fear, but the whole Rodney King nightmare keeps playing in my head, and that was only part of LA.

If people would behave, I wouldn't bitch. If they act like shit, they deserve to hear it.
That's what his parents get for not grounding him for being suspended. He should have been inside the house. Slackass parents get bad results.

Not that he didn't have them anyways, but the extremly lazy ones might get up off their ass and take the time to vote, putting down the crack pipe for a few hours.

The lead homicide investigator in the shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin recommended that neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman be charged with manslaughter the night of the shooting, multiple sources told ABC News.
But Sanford, Fla., Investigator Chris Serino was instructed to not press charges against Zimmerman because the state attorney's office headed by Norman Wolfinger determined there wasn't enough evidence to lead to a conviction, the sources told ABC News.
Police brought Zimmerman into the station for questioning for a few hours on the night of the shooting, said Zimmerman's attorney, despite his request for medical attention first. Ultimately they had to accept Zimmerman's claim of self defense. He was never charged with a crime.
Serino filed an affidavit on Feb. 26, the night that Martin was shot and killed by Zimmerman, that stated he was unconvinced Zimmerman's version of events.
Zimmerman, 28, claimed he shot Martin, 17, in self defense.
One complicating factor in the investigation was that the first detective to interview Zimmerman about the shooting was a narcotics officer rather than a homicide detective.

LC, why would it make a difference that the first detective was Narco instead of homicide?
