Friends should be replaced every five years more often if they borrow stuff from you before 5 years is up.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

What if they don't return the stuff they borrowed before the 5 year expiration? Do you write the stuff off or string the friendship along til you get it back?

I don't lend or borrow, it's a deal breaker for friendships.

My best friend is my Mom. Since 45 years too. But the last 15 of those she is very quiet. However, she is nicely dressed, sitting in her rocking chair up in her favourite room, watching down onto the street from her favourite window. She still understands me. And loves me. I love her too. Even so sometimes she seems to be upset with me. Especially when we have a pretty young woman check into our motel.
Oh oh, there goes the bell at the check in desk. I don't think Mom is gonna be very happy about that one as we seem to be going thru a lot of shower curtains lately.

One of my best friends lives in Texas but we are two halves of the same whole. We think the same about everything. We always know what the other is thinking or feeling. There are never any judgements. We don't get to see each other very often but that doesn't stop us. She is the one person I can tell anything too and she gets it.
I have another friend that lives in Detroit. We have been close since we were 19. We can go months without talking and when we do, it's like we just spoke yesterday. Same thing when we see each other. I call her parents Mom and Dad and they have always treated me like their 4th daughter. Her husband is like a brother to me and I love him as much as I love my friend.
I have two really close friends here that I met at work that I can trust with anything. We share anything and everything and there are no judgements, just acceptance. We have such a good time together. Traci is absolutely beautiful with blond hair and green eyes and big boobs! Men love her ahaha But she is one of the nicest, sweetest people I have ever met. She truely has a beautiful heart.

I seriously miss aussiefriend when she doesn't post. Tried to pull her into the bonding conversations with our new friends in the "My name is bert" thread the other night, sensing that some advice from a professional mental health nurse could be helpful for the newbies (and because she cracks me up). No luck yet. Ah well...

I have one person I can honestly say I have know all my life. We were born less than a month apart (me first) and grew up across the street from each other. All through school together. We were not close, but still friends. We drifted apart after I moved from home to Rochester, but we reconnected a a year or so ago, and saw each other for the first time in years a few months ago when her dad died.
