i frankly think there are inconsistencies with the mom. and that the little 4-year-old sister is saying what she thinks the grownups want to hear.

Agreed! I watched that interview, something is just not right here!

no bearing on missing child case, but this is the dad:

District Court April 4

A Gloucester man pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of disturbing the peace.

Judge Jennings placed Anthony Harrison, 41, of 17 Cleveland Place on a year's probation. Jennings also continued an assault charge without a finding for a year, and dismissed a charge of resisting arrest the request of the state prosecutor.

According to police, officers found Harrison in front of the door to his condominium at 17 Cleveland St. on Jan. 7.

When they asked him if he had another way in, he became angry, police said. Officers then arrested him for disorderly conduct, but police reports said the conduct got worse when they got to the station.

At the booking desk Harrison tried to assault an officer, and police responded with pepper spray and took him to the floor.

i think he looks like he has AIDS. post 40

Police will return to Rockport this afternoon to search for Caleigh Anne Harrison, the toddler who disappeared from the beach last month while playing with her mother, older sister and family dog, officials said.
State Police poster

State and Rockport police are planning to check an area near Saratoga Creek where a private citizen’s dog reacted to “some type of stimuli’’ in a “very specific area of the beach’’ Thursday afternoon, according to a State Police statement.

I think the 4 year old's description of the mystery man is beyond the language skills of that age group. Of course there are exceptions, but my 4 yr old gs would probably say he saw a man with no hair rather than
bald with side hair (like the father's hair) and she observed man was smoking while he was grabbing her sister.
That is odd! It sounds as though she was coached by someone. In every interview, the 4 yr old daughter is
recalling more details about the mystery man Adults can manipulate children into saying almost anything so
I am not believing all of what she is saying.

boston herald
Police searched in vain after returning for a second day yesterday looking for evidence in the mysterious two-week-old disappearance of Gloucester toddler Caleigh Anne Harrison along Rockport’s Long Beach, said state police spokesman David Procopio.

Investigators launched into action Thursday when a man walking his dog reported his pet was acting oddly. State and Rockport police searched the area Thursday and brought in more resources yesterday.

Police revisited the section of the beach with search dogs and a backhoe yesterday, but after hours of searching and digging, they reported “nothing found.”

UK story on case. says 4-year-old drew picture of "abductor". i still don't buy it, i believe the poor kid has been coached. the local police don't buy it either.

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The mother of Caleigh Harrison was emotionally paralyzed in the days following her daughter's disappearance; however, she is more determined than ever to find out what happened the day her 2-year-old disappeared from a beach in Rockport.

Allison Hammond did not cry during her interview with FOX 25. She was very much pulled together despite the recent disappearance of Caleigh.

GLOUCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - New details from the only local interview with Allison Hammond, the Gloucester mother whose daughter went missing from a Rockport beach, 20 days ago.

The mother showed FOX 25's Heather Hegedus a diagram of where everyone was on Rockport's Long Beach the day it happened.

Hammond has been publicly scrutinized by people for leaving her toddler, 2-year-old Caleigh Harrison, and for not talking to the media until she went exclusively to FOX 25.

Rockport and State Police dig near the outflow of a tidal estuary at low tide on Long Beach in connection to the disappearance of Caleigh Harrison, Friday, May 4, 2012

May 18
BOSTON — Police investigating the disappearance of a 2-year-old girl from a Rockport beach have filed a 51A report with Massachusetts child welfare authorities of potential neglect of her 4-year-old sister.

State police spokesman David Procopio said Thursday night there's no evidence foul play or neglect played a role in Caleigh Harrison's April 19 disappearance. He said the Department of Children and Families will decide whether to investigate her sister's welfare.

Telephone listings for the parents could not be found Thursday night.
