The books are FAR more satisfying than the series.

I almost always prefer the books. Maybe just because I love to read. Back to the middle of book three!

I love a good series and I hate waiting for the books that have yet to be published. It's never quite the same (for me), picking up a book 6 months (or more) after I finished the last.

I love to read. I think I started the series less than 2 weeks ago so I'm screwed. I think it will be especially hard with this series because the author leaves so many characters with unfinished business at the end of each book. Unless they die, there's no closure!

That analogy doesn't work for me. I couldn't understand the trilogy in writing, got lost in all his words. The story never made much sense to me until the movies came out.

Bad news: it wasn't 1/10^th of the thrill of the battle as written by Martin.
