"Tavern Style" pot roast in the slow cooker.

Potatoes washed and ready for peeling . . . garlic mashed coming right up!

Thank you, comfort food!

I'm making steak bomb subs, but I don't have any salami so I'm substituting bacon.

Chicken tacos in hard shell, with chili and garlic powder, Colby cheese and cream cheese. Roast Chicken flavored Doritos dipped in a Queso salsa.

As I drove home I saw one loan elk running, looking over his shoulder and running in fear.
I looked around for more and didn't see any.
I got home, changed clothes and drove 5 miles down the road to the family that invited me for dinner.
Some meat in a pan, rice, and some veggies.
And then they said, "We're having elk!"

I ate dinner
It was great.
I was thankful.
Later that night sitting at home I couldn't forget the look on that elk's face last it ran towards the river.

No apology necessary! It's fine, really.

My brother Ed got it from the food pantry. The homeless and low income, unemployed people eat better than I could ever afford.
