Crews were able to successfully reunite a 19-month-old boy with his parents after an extensive search in the woods of Farmington on Thursday night.

The boy, Liam Davis, was missing for about 4 12 hours after he wandered away from his tent in the woods near Ten Rod Road and Russell Lane in Farmington.

The family said the boy and his mother, Brittany Adjutant, were living in the woods Smiley_emoticons_skeptisch and she had put Liam to bed about 7 p.m. and went to collect some firewood. When she returned, she discovered Liam had unzipped the tent and was gone.

After Adjutant reported the boy missing, local, state and federal agents organized a ground and air search. The boy was eventually found about a quarter-mile away.

"The officer that located him, conservation Officer Mark Hensel, and his dog were working the brook and doing an area search," said Lt. Jim Juneau of the Fish and Game Department. "The canine located the child sleeping on a bed of moss."
