Jibbles, the only way your dad's assessment on this rings true is if he was teary-eyed at the time. Then, I could understand the moist appearance.

Regardless, still some great real music coming out all of the time, though I do agree that increased/improved technology can never replace the talent of true artists that need no dubbing or "mass market packaging" to make their mark.

My love for music is never tainted; always some trash and some magic being released - no matter when the year or the decade, imo.

That's my segway for this remake, which I happen to really like.

I liked it too & enjoyed the video even though I think the ick factor runs high with Marilyn. Creepy mutha.

I adore Marilyn Manson. Good head on his shoulders. Used to go to sleep to his music in college.

I ♥ LOVE ♥ this next band.

Meh. Not a big fan of Avenged Sevenfield. Their fans ruin it for me, much like Metallica.

I remember my first time seeing Slipknot. I got caught in the middle of two GIGANTIC moshpits. It was exhilarating. Nothing like getting the shit kicked out of you to make you feel alive. Also, a fabulous workout.

I almost flew to Ohio to see A Perfect Circle when they came off their 5year+ hiatus. One of my top three artists of all time.

System of a Down is another band I would go to lengthy measures to see. Not a fan of Serj Tankian solo though. Also, I'm not a fan of how much he curses during his live performances. Bit to crass for my tastes. But God damn do I love the music.

Real artist versus autotuned-cannot-perform-live-marketed-and-funded-mass-commercial-fuckheads (Nick Minaj, Katy Perry, too many others).

Much love for KarminMusic.

That Die Antwoord song and and video are strange and hynotic. I'm gonna have "I fink u freaky and I like you a lot" pounding in my head all day. Thanks, Jibbles. hah

Etta James was a great female voice, imo. Here's an audio cover version of Alice Cooper's "Only Women Bleed". Just in case you don't like her, Alice's too.

Marcy Playground- From right here in Minneapolis.

The Edge was once asked what song that he DIDN'T write did he wish he WOULD'VE written:

Oasis' 'Wonderwall'.

I was just going to post "Sex and Candy". Too weird.

I bought the Marcy Playground CD years ago; all of the tracks are good, imo. Too bad they just have the one release.
