Retired NYSP investigator accidentally shoots self at Colonie Center

The Sears at Colone Center on July 24, 2012COLONIE, N.Y. -- A retired law enforcement official accidentally shot himself Tuesday night at Colonie Center, according to town police.
Colonie Police said 56-year old Ronald Talbot, of Ballston Spa, accidentally shot himself in the knee while trying on clothes inside a changing room at the Sears store there.
The incident happened just after 8:20 p.m.
Talbot is a retired investigator with New York State Police. The gun involved was his personally-owned .22-caliber revolver.
Talbot was taken to Albany Medical Center after the incident. His wounds do not appear life threatening.
