I know we had a thread discussing planned parenthood, I did a search & couldn't find it...
A NC lawmaker is calling Planned Parenthood "murder for hire". C'mon. I get that there are many who don't want their tax dollars funding this but to call it murder for hire is a dramatic stretch. My feeling is, you can either help fund this or you'll be paying a significant amount more whether it be through welfare money to raise the children or through medical to help care for a sick person because she didn't have access to preventative health care.
Why do these people have to be so goddamn dramatic? Jeezus.

Yep, abortions and BC is a LOT cheaper than welfare, prison and lifetime incarceration. I am not one that things all snowflakes are precious obviously. The Right to Lifers want to make the decision to force people to take responsibility for a little poke in the dark by not allowing abortions, BUT, they refuse to take responsibility for that stance.
I think there should be abortions on demmand, no age limit and free BC for anyone that asks. SOme limits maybe, like mandatory sterilisation along with the second one and after the birth of the first one born on welfare.
Same thing for both parents, no color, no sex, no cultural descrimination at all.

Abortions should be legal, of course, but not used as they are in Russia: as the number one source for birth control.

We've talked about women who do that & we all pretty much agree that we are against it being used as that but there's got to be some kind of happy medium. There are women out there having children just to get a few bucks more in their welfare check, some don't even try to prevent their pregnancies. I'm totally against that, yet to force them to get spayed/neutered is too dictator like but I'm all for that.

I've always been pro-choice but I wouldn't mind some limitations. Not sure at what week I'd draw the line but late term abortions are abhorrent to me.
B/C and the morning after pill should be freely distributed...especially at county welfare offices.

I'm more pro-abortion than pro-choice. Competition for resources being what it is, I support abortion under any and all circumstances except when the embryo is made by me.

I'll never forget In the 70's I was this idealistic young social worker and was told this chick needed transportation to the hospital. When I went to pick her up she was about 7 or 8 months pregnant.. Enroute I mentioned that whatever procedure she was going for was not serious. She told me she was getting an abortion. Said she had broken up with boyfriend and wanted to "get rid of it". It haunted me.
Spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Ban gas chambers in your local shelters. User made the call. User made a difference!

Imagine how many children we've aborted who'd have grown up to be abortion doctors.

Yeah, fuck that. With all the pre-natal testing available and such...no.way. When they're viable outside the womb (what, 22 weeks or so these days??), that's not an abortion, it's murder.
Can't believe I'm saying that but in that regard, I'm getting more conservative in my old age. I'd ONLY reconsider that if there was some chance that an innocent mother might die giving birth or the child faces certain death or pain when born. I don't have a lot of sympathy for women who just figure out they're pregnant after close to 5 months and uh, oh, time for an abortion. Idiots. Grrrr....

Any women who has a late term abortion would most likely do unspeakable things to the baby anyway, they're the ones you'll see in the "another mother" thread. Nevermind aborting it while it still has a tail, lets just wait and torture the little bastard.
