We have one here which is about a 30 minute drive from me. I wish we had an Ikea.

I don't have one in my state, but there is one about an hour or so away. My girlfriend said it's fricken huge and she could spend hours there. I've never been, but I have ordered their down throw pillows online. Score! They are dirt cheap and I just change the covers when it strikes my fancy.

The nearest one to me is about an hour and a half away. I went there once and you really could spend all day in there.

Sally, what's in your office? I'm not as minimalistic as you are, but I'm ready to have my office that way. I'd like to chuck everything, but that wouldn't be reasonable. I want a desk with nothing but my computer on it. I don't want a bunch of drawers and a top, just a flat surface. My office is not a large room and I've got this big ass desk, 3 bookcases, a console and a fireplace. I'm over it. I should have thought of this 6 months ago.   78

My desk is pretty organized at the moment, but it is not minimalist style at all. It's this big, ugly clunky thing with bookshelves and drawers with a printer and drawers full of files and wires everywhere. But I kind of need it because I work from home, I would much prefer a nice sleek desk though.

I have an office at my boss' house, but main office is here at home. I handle her business & stable biz too so I need pretty much everything that's in here. I need a change of scenery, it's been this way for probably as long as I've been in Mock. No wonder I'm over it. This desk is holding me back. I looked at some yesterday, but nothing called to me.

I'm going to a friend's house tonight that they just built. Should I bring a house warming gift and if so, what should I bring? I guess this question is for Duchess. I dont really need Clang to chime in.

I was thinking candles and maybe some nice dish towels, but I dont know if that's tacky. But it's something I would like and use.

Oh yeah, I still have the kittens. Although I don't know if they'd appreciate a ferral kitten full of worms and fleas.

It's too late to get them a custom cutting board or a specially made house number. Are they the type to plant anything? If so, I'd suggest a bush or a tree, but it also depends on how close you are to them. You don't want to be spending a significant amount of money on people who are little more than acquaintances, in that case flowers & a bottle of wine/booze is appropriate.

I think a nice trimmed up bush would be nice.

If you trim a bush consistently there comes a time when it doesn't grow back and trimming is no longer required.

I dont know if they're gardeners, but maybe a house plant. Lowes had succulents in nice decorative pots the last time I was there.

Thank you for preemptively preventing me from putting down a stupid answer. Last thing I bought as a gift was an Ashton ashtray for my brother Ed.

Thanks.  Blowing-kisses

If I can get out my own way, maybe someday some local women will see that too.
