Probably not. I think that's kind of ridiculous.

I agree. I've spent a great deal of money on evening wear and I don't want to even do that any more. Same shit every December. It's not like I can ever wear that stuff again and if there's a place like rent a tux for females I intend to check it out this year.

I don't mind paying for good quality pieces that will last. But $2000 for a coat is a bit much. I bought two maxi dresses for my nephews wedding. It's a casual reception. One at Kohls and one I just happened to see at Target. Both were under $50. IDC. I like them and that's that. Of course I'll be carrying a little white Coach bag. Coach and Target. Perhaps I AM turning into a black women.

I can't recall.....did the title of this thread come from a cackling hen comment from yours truly?

My most expensive jacket is my Willie G Davidson leather, it was $500 near 30 years ago.
Now days I get to wear it about 2 days a year. Evening wear tends towards silk Tommy Bahama

I was looking at distressed jeans awhile ago and thought, why in the world would anyone pay so much money for jeans that look like they have been run over by a lawn mower...many times! To now...oh my goodness those jeans are cute. I'm going to get a pair and I know damn well I'm going to hear laughter and comments like "you actually paid for jeans that look like they need to be tossed."

I have two pairs of favourite jeans. I couldn't even tell you how old they are now, but the denim is thinned enough that they are nowhere near as heavy as new jeans. They have tears in the knees and broken belt loops, but they feel like a second skin.

Women will pay anything for anything if its vogue or shows they have money like a rolex or something. I know a few that will pay 100.00 for a bath towel. It's crazy I tell ya.

It's stupid to pay a lot of money for trends and anyone who pays a hundred bucks for a bath towel needs their head examined.

User, what happened with your kitchen remodel?
Thing 2 wants True Religion jeans. I said no. I'm not paying $300 for a pair of jeans. I don't even buy them for myself.
