Do any of you burn your own CD's? I have a shit ton of CD's and almost all of them were purchased for only a song or two. I'm over it and considering burning my own with all my favorite tunes.
DO YOU BURN?

Yes, that is all I ever do now. Another thing I have been doing is putting all my tunes onto a flash drive. I can file then by artist, or category, whatever.
Oh and here is a cool thing, did you know you can download music from YouTube to your computer? Then you can burn it, or flash drive it. The cool thing is, those ads that are in front of some videos, do not download, so you just get the music. Here is the site I use. It is free. http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ Just paste the URL of the song into the space, click convert video. Then when that is done, click download when prompted.

I burned mine years ago, now I am all stored media. Everything is on a hard drive and I use Rhapsody to manage it. For outside I dump what I want on a spare ipod and put it on the Bose dock on the patio.

I use Sonos all over my house... and subscribe to MOG. Almost every CD I own is available for instant streaming so I've not bothered to burn the hundreds of CD's I own. They are all still boxed up somewhere.

Youtube has a music downloader, once I installed that & began downloading it filed all the songs in my music library as well as the pertinent info regarding the song. It works beautifully.

I tried that last night, it won't let me convert video. I tried several different videos and it came up with some message about Google, Inc. and signing a petition to use recording tools.

Clang..I had not used it in a while, but just went back to check. It is working OK for me. There is a pink bar about the google thing. Then a white bar which will appear to have a URL already pasted in. Just empty that bar, and paste the URL of the vid you want there, Convert then download

Yeah I put the URL in, hit convert video and get this message:Google Inc. doesn't want you to convert this video.

We just use players that we can pop our iPods into. Commando Cunt Queen

Clang, here is a link to download the youtube converter. If you don't trust my link go to cnet & download it from there. This is only the one that converts the video to music, if that's not what you're looking for they have a few to choose from. http://download.cnet.com/Free-YouTube-to...65553.html

Thanks for posting that link Duchess...
I know my link is having issues with the Google thing. But, that being said, THIS tech guru does not have issues with most vids I download. I also do not have an Iphone, IPad, Smart phone or anything. Mine is just a stupid phone that calls and texts

I remember I put a cd player in my 89 corsica (in late 2006), and it played MP3 discs. Being able to leave the files as MP3s, you could fit 80+ songs on one disc. Twas marvelous. Also had the hook-up to play my ipod from the CD deck, while it charged in the glove compartment. I have yet to buy anything fancy for my equinox though.
